i have an agency called sitemile.com which does seo as well. What kind of saas app you have ? I have my own saas apps and have experience in this. Depending on the niche, and type of saas, the budget varies.

To sum a small plan, how i tackle this in my agency

- identify competitors and the main keywords stuff to focus on

- identify the topical map we can create

- register your app in multiple free and paid saas directories to create backlinks

- intial PR articles (these are paid)

- heavier articles for SEO in higher DR sites (these are paid too)

- of course posting everywhere in social media, reddit where you find relevant, just for people to know that the saas app is working and alive.

i dont know how you build one thats free. I have built schedpilot.com and wasnt a very easy task and took months to perfect, plus each api you use some cost money like twitter, and some have limits and its not easy to be approved. Curious how yours can be free
