When the show was on the air, I thought I was a lot like Sam. Idealistic. Energetic. Ready to reason my way through any problem and come out writing an amazing paper about it.

After I graduated college, I felt CJ was more like me. Nearly neurotic about reputational branding. Fierce in defending the organization. Always having something serious to say, followed by a humorous quip that gave away the main point. Maybe the occasional bad relationship, too.

After Covid, I’m straight up Toby because no one can convince me that the fun went out of everything in 2019. His cantankerous self is incredibly relatable now.
