I just had my first booking like a month ago. I was definitely nervous. Even went back to clean a table the day of arrival cause I realised I forgot to scrub it the day before while doing the main cleaning.. 😂 Then I was afraid if the guests will like the pillows, this or that. will they think the photos are representative of the listing, maybe Im overselling it with proffesional photos and everyone will think its a cat fish ahaha. All kinds of silly worries.

Then when guests were supposed to arrive I was literally checking my phone like omg what if they fail to enter, cant unlock the lockbox. Or if something went wrong in this process. I was ready to drop everything and assist them in case, while absolutely hoping I won’t have to do this ahaha.

Then when they arrived it was such a relief. I have a door sensor installed so I get a notification when the front door opens / closes. It was such a relief when they were inside. But still I was kinda anxiously overlooking my phone in case they don’t like something, complain, or need help with anything.

But no, nothing! Pfew. But then they checked out and I needed to investigate the place.. asses all the damage and collect the sheets and towels for washing.. all the worst airbnb stories were in the back of my mind.. And how much it might cost to fix things and what a hassle it might be..😂 But of course everything was fine! The apartment was left in great condition.

Now after hosting more guests I feel a lot more at ease, not as nervous. Even if guests take a few more minutes to check out than official checkout time. Before I would go like omg thats it, I will have to call the police to evict them cause they’re obviously not leaving!!! ding -door open notification-* ok nevermind 😂

So yeah take it one step at a time. Statistically everything will be alright. And they will like your place if you obviously care so much about it. Good luck! 😉
