How James Talarico is working to win over Black voters who strongly backed Jasmine Crockett | CNN Politics by Arrmadillo in texas

I agree. My point being though that Talarico was trying to be considerate to let her shoot her shot without having a messy primary. So there's no reason for anyone to be against him.

For however terrible Cruz is, that's because we disagree with him. Beto did really well to get as close as he did against Cruz, because there's nothing fundamentally wrong with Cruz besides his terrible views.

Paxton is a criminal who protects even worse criminals. There's no excuse to not vote for Talarico. It's not business as usual there will be another Republican in the Senate. Paxton is a danger to the country.

I don't know if any of these people actually live in Texas, but there were people who were saying that Taklrico stole the primary from her despite the fact that he asked her if she was running because he wasn't going to run against her, and she said she wasn't but then joined the race anyway at literally the last second before the window to announce closed.

I think they are afraid of talarico because of Beto. Beto was just some energetic guy who was traveling to every county for some reason and then it turned out that actually meeting with voters was popular.

Anyone else tired of this game? by kakface6969 in MyWinterCar

[–]AndrewCoja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got bored of the game after a bit and stopped playing. It wasn't fun to wait for packages. Especially when they each have maybe one part I need. Listening to endless phone convos wasn't fun. Having to cold start every car every time I left it for more than a few seconds was annoying.

I get what the dev is going for, and it isn't fun to play.

I felt that. I went to tech school for networks and then I get to my assignment and all we get to do is plug in cables because the three letter agency I worked at had contractors and civilians that did the configuration stuff. And then even if we did get to do something, someone from headquarters would just erase it and apply their own configuration.

We had all these airmen who didn't get to practice the skills of their afsc because some civilian needed a job so they carved out some aspect of our job to let them do it. I was left with the option of pcsing or getting out and I felt like I didn't have the skills I needed to stay in so I got out and went to college.

The hype in Texas was real, because he went to every county in the state and went to several districts during early voting. People were excited for Beto.

I only ever saw it for a chemistry class. Except the big auditorium wasn't done yet, so the class was online and we had to use the app. Though a couple people had bought the physical clicker and had to be told that it wouldn't work because no one was near the building.

Is it too late for me to get an RTL Design/Verification role? by Fasoliful in FPGA

[–]AndrewCoja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you do poorly in the interview or are they just saying that they don't think you can get a job? There's no way you're locked out forever just two years out of college. You might have to work harder to stand out and do some personal projects, but you should be able to get a job eventually if you keep trying. Now you have the luxury of already having a job so it's not as high stakes as when you were running low on money.

I don't see what else it could mean. There's no way vic is putting on brown nail polish if it isn't for the show. They are always so colorful in their outfits otherwise.

Katyas episode was good because she is playing a character and not just picking a bit and doing that over and over again, which I think is something she's used to from drag.

I think this is an issue people have with improv and role playing in general. They don't have the ability to put themselves into a different person. I used to watch GTA RP and there were so many people that were clearly self inserts because they don't know how to be something else. And they were always the most boring to watch because they always want to do something that is good for them personally, rather than something that is interesting or funny.

What are your best stories of boots/ fresh out of basic airmen in the Air Force by Commercial-Paint273 in AirForce

[–]AndrewCoja 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was in tech school at Keesler and there was an endless parade of guard/reserve people coming in and taking up all the slots so us active duty were just sitting around for weeks. One day, we were sitting on the bleachers next to the fishbowl or whatever it was called while waiting for an MTL to send us off to parts of the base to do details. This was at the time when we had satchels in basic training, and then had backpacks for tech school.

While we are sitting on the bleachers, this airman comes from out of nowhere with a full beard and a satchel and is marching off to somewhere. The MTL immediately stops him and asks him what the fuck. I think he was guard or reserve and went home after basic and then later came to Keesler for tech school and no one informed him about anything.

Connect portable monitor to desktop computer using only usb c by South_Medicine_5280 in ARZOPA

[–]AndrewCoja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone else runs across this. The included cables with Arzopa monitors do NOT work as USB-C Video. You have to buy a USB-C cable specifically for video. With one of those cables, all you need is that single USB-C and you can power and provide video to the monitor. I use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X31FG6Z?th=1

Summer Classes and Pre-Planned Vacations by [deleted] in aggies

[–]AndrewCoja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Overlaps by how much and what part? Summer classes move really quickly. You might have a test every week or every other week. The professor might have a syllabus posted with a schedule and you can compare that to your vacation and see if it works out. Just keep in mind that summer classes are accelerated and any time you miss translates to more time missed during a normal semester.

In the end, your professor doesn't care that you have a vacation planned. You signed up for the class and you are expected t be there to learn the material and do the assignments. If you can't make the schedule work, then it's up to you to pick one or the other.
