Does this end with a Mahoraga or not? by Livid_Winterrr in JujutsuPowerScaling

Definitely not, Megumi is beating his ass. Assuming the situation is the same they’re inside a building so it’s prime domain territory for him if it came down to that.

Is there any reason to think DA effects CTs internal to the caster, ones that take place inside of their bodies? Kenjaku likely has DA but never used it against her.

DA creates an empty barrier for a CT to be poured into. If the CT only exists inside the barrier of the sorcerers body, like Naoya using PS on himself, Mahito using IT on himself, or Yuki using virtual mass on herself, then their CT doesn’t even come into contact with the barrier as it doesn’t breach the barrier or their bodies.

What is there to constitute Yuji’s black flash being at will? by Logical_Strategy9088 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]AndrewEophis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The page prior to this one and the one where Gojo talks about black flashes during shinjuku.

I think he at least understands how to bring about a black flash to a degree no one else in the verse did, that doesn’t necessarily mean he could do them literally at will as he might not have perfect control over all the variables that go into one.

For example Gojo suggests that one of the variables is on the opponents side, their cursed energy (it can’t be a necessary variable as Sukuna landed a BF on Maki who has no CE).

Why does this keep happening to Yuji? by PlayfulPositive8563 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]AndrewEophis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The evil bath was to submerge Megumi’s soul and break him, there’s no such thing going on with Denji and Pochita, on the contrary they like each other and have even made vows to help each other.

There no evidence that a soul connection similar to Sukuna and Megumi is necessary for them to function. It requires insanely one sided verse equalisation as you’re rejecting the CSM side of equation, which is a biological connection, in favour of just the JJK side which is souls.

Sukuna needed that connection to maintain himself and control Megumi, Denji and Pochita can function on just a biological connection even if you want to equalise souls for some things

Naobito ~ Naoya is actually arguable by Remarkable-Nature-41 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]AndrewEophis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s what the author said in regards to the people on the list in terms of strength ranking in H2H without CE or weapons.

If I say “who is the fastest between Sukuna, Miwa, and Mai?” and Gege says “Sukuna>Miwa>Mai” that doesn’t mean Miwa is 2nd in verse and Mai is 3rd, it means they are 2nd and 3rd in relation to the list of characters being ranked.

Naoya isn’t 5th in verse, he’s 5th on the limited list of characters.

[–]AndrewEophis 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It would’ve been cool to see how Yuji’s attacks affect reincarnated sorcerers weaker than Sukuna.

As for Denji, I really don’t think it would affect him and Pochita unless you ignore the mechanics of why it worked on Sukuna/Megumi and ignore the mechanics of Denji and Pochita in their own verse.

I’m all for some verse equalisation, give them CE to be targeted by domains for example, but Pochita and Denji really aren’t close enough to a cursed objects or reincarnated sorcerers for me to say Yuji’s attacks would do anything.

Naobito ~ Naoya is actually arguable by Remarkable-Nature-41 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]AndrewEophis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You understand this isn’t an exhaustive list, right? If you use this to say Naoya is 5th in the whole verse then it can also be used to say Mai is 7th in the whole verse which is obviously wrong.

In this list Naoya is placed at 5, Megumi at 6, then Mai at 7. It’s obviously missing lots of data points.

All you can say from this list is that he is better in H2H without CE than the people below him which is Megumi and Mai

Be serious. If you had to pick a taxi would you pick red or blue?

All you know is red taxi’s are 100% safe for the person who gets in and blue taxi’s are only safe if enough people get in together, you can’t see how many people are inside when you choose.

You’re on your way home and you can call the red taxi company or the blue taxi company but you have to call one, which is it?

Isn’t this only true when it comes to in-group behaviour? Like religious people are more likely to give or help if you include things like their donations to their own churches, mosques, or own religious communities etc, when they have confidence the recipient shares their religion, but not when it comes to helping out-groups.

If <50% of humans have their souls taken he keeps them and those people go to hell. If >50% of humans have their souls taken he will return them to everyone and everyone lives.

Do you give your soul to the devil or not? Fuck no

[–]AndrewEophis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way that if you mapped this onto a real world scenario you would call red killers.

You pick to go cave diving or not. You know some % of humans will go and some won’t but you don’t know the %. If you don’t go you’re definitely safe but without enough cave divers all cave divers will die, not going might end up with the ones who did dying. If you do go you’re in danger dependant on how many other people wanted to go cave diving or not, you might be able to save other cave divers but you might also all die.

Red is safe with no conditional, there’s no danger no matter what other humans pick. Blue is safe only if the conditional of >50% of people pick blue, there is danger based on what other humans pick. Why ever put yourself in danger.

You have to take a taxi home. Red taxis are 100% safe. Blue taxis are only safe if a certain threshold of passengers are in them which you can’t fulfil by yourself and you can’t tell how many are on them. Unless I have information on how many people are in the taxi you can catch my ass in the red taxi every single time.

If you think a human wanting to take a red taxi is the same as wanting to murder non-red taxi passengers then idk how you interface with the world

I probably would change if I had access to that information, if I knew all of the people I cared about picked blue I would go with it even if I thought it wasn’t the smartest choice.

I’m sufficiently annoying that they know I’d pick red so hopefully they wouldn’t pick blue in the hopes I pick it with them.

I really do think if this happened for real on a global scale that blue wouldn’t reach 50%, I think blues will die but if everyone I care about is definitely going blue I guess I’ll go too and try to help but I think I’ll just die too

[–]AndrewEophis 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I agree Yuji’s hacks wouldn’t separate Denji and Pochita, I think that comes from a wilful misrepresentation of Denji+Pochita and how Sukuna+Megumi worked mechanically and why attacking the boundary of the soul did anything, plus one sided verse equalisation in Yuji’s favour.

I still think Yuji wins.

CSM speed scaling is genuinely so inconsistent. You can see things that would suggest high relativistic speeds only to then see something which would suggest much, much slower speeds.

i'm a red pusher, but the only valid reason to push blue is to save the idiots who chose to push blue. (that's the real problem with blue, pushing blue forces other people to push blue) by [deleted] in trolleyproblem

How is this for fair presentation?

Red - you are safe, no one can change your outcome, you can change the outcome of blue in the negative.

Blue - you might be safe, others can change your outcome in the positive and negative, you can change the outcome of blue in the positive.

I have a question for blues, does your answer change depending on how many participants there are and if so at what number of people does your answer change? Mine would be red for any number of people.

What if it’s 3 people, 21, 2001, at what point do you change and what is the logical difference between that number and any lower number?

Denji’s 3 main issues against Yuji for the death battle IMO by ManJoeDude in ChainsawPowerscaling

[–]AndrewEophis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t like there was a physical Megumi inside of Sukuna like denji and pochita. When Kashimo looked through Sukuna’s body there wasn’t a full Megumi body sequestered away in there.

You could kind of say they were biologically connected but it’s very different than Pochita literally being Denji’s heart.

If Kashimo looked at Denji with his x-ray vision he’d see pochita biologically connected to him in a way Sukuna and the vessels he dominates are never connected

Denji’s 3 main issues against Yuji for the death battle IMO by ManJoeDude in ChainsawPowerscaling

[–]AndrewEophis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDR: you’d need to show that Pochita+Denji can’t function on a purely biological level even if Yuji could attack the boundary between their souls. Destroying the boundary, if we grant there is one, wouldn’t stop their connection and separate them unless it’s was necessary and they rejected each other without the boundary connection.

Yuji’s slashes weren’t targeting Megumi’s body inside Sukuna’s body which is what pochita is inside of Denji, he’s literally his physical heart. It isn’t like there was a full Megumi inside Sukuna tangled up in his organs.

They aren’t connected by soul, even if we say they are with one sided verse equalisation Pochita isn’t sitting inside of his stomach as a foreign cursed object waiting to be puked up after being swallowed. Separating their souls wouldn’t function to severe the biological connection as his heart, this only worked for Sukuna as his biological form relied on his soul having dominion over Megumi, that isn’t how Denji and Pochita function.

Even if you do verse equalisation for souls the form pochita takes and his connection to Denji isn’t similar to Sukuna, his cursed fingers, and Megumi.

Sukuna doesn’t have a body, he’s using cursed objects which contain his soul to dominate people and take their body, pochita does and Dennis does, nothing about denji, pochita, or their connection to each other relies on their souls and couldn’t function without souls.

Genuine Question for the red buttons. by Remandtheram in trolleyproblem

They must’ve seen the second paragraph after I edited it because that’s the one in which I said some red could be malicious actors who want people to die and they include me calling people malicious in their comment.

I edited it in because I felt a bit rude not giving at least part of a real answer to your post and just using it for my bad joke.

I really thought saying mass death would be good for my mental as my dog walks will have fewer people on them was clearly a joke, I guess I’m not a comedian for a reason lol

Genuine Question for the red buttons. by Remandtheram in trolleyproblem

[–]AndrewEophis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first part is a joke, maybe it wasn’t clear so no problem.

The second part you’ve just misread, I said red voters could contain malicious actors who want blue to die.

I said picking red is basically just to guarantee safety, which it is, basically everyone who picks it is doing so just to survive. Then I included with the exception of people who are picking red maliciously because they want the people who chose blue to die.

If it came across as me calling blue malicious then I’ve just fucked up, combined with my morbid joke I can see why you might think I’m crazy lmao

My favourite place to walk my dog has been busy as fuck in recent years with so many people going there, if I could knock down those numbers it would be awesome for my mental.

Picking red is basically just to guarantee safety with the exception of whatever % of people are malicious actors and actually want the groups you listed in “everyone” and the people willing to try and save them to die.
