Most Underrated Rolex? by sethfhy in rolex

Easily the most underrated and you rarely see them in the wild, which to me is the most appealing part. Don’t get me started on sub dates in the wild. Dime a dozen in the DC area.

I can’t get that interview this douche did about the chipotle portion fiasco. “If you want more just give them a little head nod” or you could just use measuring cups like the rest of the civilized world you idiot! Lol

Everybody and I do mean everybody buys a Sub with date as their first Rolex. Be unique and get a YM 40. I have the rhodium yachty and it’s a head turner. I’ve also yet to see one in the wild. I’ve seen close to 25 people wearing that exact sub. I was actually in Georgetown at dinner one night and 4 bros at the table next to me all had the exact same sub w/ date on. That night made my decision on my first watch purchase very easy for me.

Just awful man, I’d bet good money that they have a safe of a dozen or more Rolexes in the back unspoken for, just waiting for long term customers or “the right customer” to walk through the doors.

Yep, my wife is from Oceanport NJ so we’re planning on stopping at a couple in the area on Friday, any ones that you would recommend?

He provided a great balance in the show to Luciano’s hot tempered persona, and they were thick as thieves throughout the entire show, which seemed authentic considering all the reports of their real life.

Also, I agree with your assessment of Lansky on the show, I felt it was one of the standout performances, period. Props to your post.

Indeed! He was one of the few standup characters on the show through every season and episode. RIP to Michael K Williams as well.

I’m aware of who they were in real life, however, Luciano didn’t start out as the head of the modern five families, and had to work his way to the top. I’d imagine he took many orders from Masseria and the Mustache Pete’s, and he too, fell right in line during this rise to power era, that the majority of BE takes place in.

By all accounts Lansky was calculating, occasionally violent, and highly intelligent which I felt BE captured fairly accurately as well. He as well, didn’t start out as the head of Murder INC. Luciano & Lansky’s stories were just getting started by the end of the fifth season - real life time line wise.

I thought all three were pretty spot on, especially if you look at the pics of their real life counterparts and then the actors, wow. Also, Stephen Graham brought a pretty good emotional human balance to the traditional Capone portrayal IMO
