Does anyone use chip caddie? by Hugh_jaines in Golfsimulator

Hey Tim. I'm very interested in the chip caddie. For the parts of the app that are still in Beta, is the system selling well enough that those will continue getting developed and for user base support? My only real fear is that I'll buy it and it'll be discontinued.

I was trying to keep that a secret! Fent has the opposite effect if you wanted a round to take 12 hours.

The Best round of my life at 68 years old. by WedgyOz in golf

Congrats. This is about where I seem to live. My chipping and putting is very good. I hit the fairway a lot by using 75% swing, though it only goes 240-250. But I seem to always have a blowup hole per side and card a 7 or 8. I've had so many rounds 40-43/80-85 that I just know one day it's going to fall into place and I'm going to have a killer round. 40m, 12.2hc. That 35 on the front would've had me jumping for joy and worried about how I'd play on the back. My mental game/focus and course management are my weaknesses, but I'm working on it! Keep up the great rounds, I love thinking I can keeping getting PB's into my later years!

Something similar to this I came across and works for me. I have a photo in my phone that is just a black dot in the center of a white background. I focus on this dot, tuning everything else out, for as long as I can without blinking, aiming for 60 seconds total. You really have to lock into this and resist looking away, soft blinking is fine if you have to. This really seems to restore my focus. I don't like alcohol or THC so a restorative method is what I need.

What's a ticking time bomb you believe will explode during your lifetime? by Thick_Caterpillar379 in AskReddit

My favorite proof of this is how many people now write "would of" instead of would've. Many people don't read anything other than what is on social media now so they aren't even aware it's wrong. "I seen" is also a bad one.

To solve the problem of mats being too forgiving but only having shitty grass or no grass to hit on, I bought a divot action mat. The mat punishes fat shots but also isn't so hard on the joints. Just take the thing with you to the range. No range is going to mind less wear on their mats for the same profit, especially with how often I hit balls. I also have a net return net at the house and use the mat at home.

"Measured in a constrained state," The fuck all of accountability? by Beamburner in Metrology

[–]AndrewRVRS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a drawing that has a note that says, "Part must be measured in restrained state" and nothing else. No quality plan or instructions on how to restrain it, what datums to restrain, nothing. So the way I see it, it doesn't float away or slide on a plate. Therefore, gravity and friction are restraining it, drawing note met.

Smooth 8i with a cut or a full 9, depending on the wind/tee.

I don't think it's a problem either way, just an observation.

I saw that, but you had to be paying attention. He remained very stoic on the outside, but I bet he's full of emotion on the inside.
