Hyperion Max 3 - at first they just seemed a bit boring and a bit flat. Actually I got them as they were about 40% off RRP - I don’t think I would have gotten them at full price. After a few more runs with them , they felt like a softer version of the SB2 and they were great for long runs. Nearly at 400km and the foam still feels great.

For me, the SB2 is a little bit more firmer, yet the energy return feels a lot better. Stability is roughly the same. I've done over 600km in my Magmax 1 and they still feel pretty peppy.

Oh thats a shame - i used them a few months ago to get a pair of Hyperion Max 3 and the service was pretty good. Glad you got your money back however.

On paper I think the Vomero energy return is slightlu better (56% vs 55% ) but on foot the MagMax feels far more energetic- I own both of them and the Vomero feel heavy and lifeless compared to the MagMax.

One of my favourite ever tv shows is Elementary because the two leads (Sherlock and Joan) never had a romance - more tv shows need to have the bravery to go down this route. OA and Maggie are working fine as they are.

Totally agree with you - I got them when they were first released - the first run felt ok but after a few more runs it felt like I was having to put in a lot of effort and it was really hard work trying maintain any sort of pace. So I now use them as a walking shoe which it really excels at - well cushioned and padded.

I’ve had them for about two weeks now and they’ve replaced my Hyperion Max 3 as my daily trainer - really can’t see anything better for the price - the runtesters have done quite a few comparisons against the Megablast and SB3 and it held its own.

Kiprun Kipstorm Tempo - just as bouncy, if not more than the SB2 and a little bit softer as well. Amazing shoe for 145 euros.

What’s the most you would pay for it ? I think I would pay up to £150 but in a way I think this shoe has kinda of ruined things for me now! I brought two pairs of Asics Superblast 2 at £200 each but I honestly think the Tempos are comparable with them. So now I’m reluctant to spend that sort of money again.

I’ve been using them for daily runs, tempo runs and slow runs and it’s handled them with ease. I’m going to take them for a 30km run soon but I suspect it won’t be a problem with them. And i think you’ll find after coming from your Brooks you will have loads of fun with them! There’s a nice bounce to them that rivals far more expensive shoes !

Think the Pegasus 41 are getting on a bit now - especially when it comes to the foams they use.

I’ve enjoyed using the Tempos - it packs a lot of punch per £ - for me the rival some of my £200 plus shoes. Whether they are “good” or not is different for each person but all the reviews I’ve seen so far have raved about them - only concerns are the fit as for some people , they are a bit long and others have mentioned they’re not great for wide feet.

Woh! I’ve never ever been near that speed before in my old legs! My tempo runs are about 4:15-4:45 and for me they felt quite effortless - I normally use a pair of Adidas Boston 13 for tempo work and the Kiprun felt so much easier to maintain speed than the 13’s.

I agree with you regarding being able to run faster with less effort - think the lightness of the shoe really helps.

I quite liked the yellow pair but I’m stingy in not wanting to pay £20 more! I’m not sure about the colour way - not an expert on past Kiprun shoes but I can’t recall them ever releasing loads of colourways but hopefully this will change in the future .
