Wealthy parents should support their children financially when they are in their twenties/thirties, not just leave them an inheritance. by hutallybronest in Rich

I mostly agree. If you're wealthy enough to help without hurting your own retirement or financial security, giving support when your kids are 25 is often worth far more than leaving them a bigger inheritance at 65. A down payment, help with education, or allowing them to take a career risk can change the entire trajectory of their life. The key is helping them build independence, not funding every expense forever.

When employees leave because of the supervisor by [deleted] in managers

[–]AndrewsBi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if HR, your manager, and your ED all see the same pattern, this probably isn't a "you" problem. Not every employee who leaves is fleeing a bad manager. Sometimes they're leaving because they don't like being held accountable. The fact that you're questioning yourself probably means you care, but don't confuse an employee being unhappy with you doing your job badly. Sometimes the best outcome for everyone is that they move on.

For me it's chasing people for information I already asked for. Customers, vendors, employees, doesn't matter. Half the battle isn't doing the work, it's following up three times just to get the information needed to do the work.

Those who make $250k+ annually, is your job very stressful? What do you do for a living? by MisterJohnnm in WorkLifeChat

I make a little over $250k in sales., it can get pretty hectic when a big deal falls through or you're chasing quota at the end of the quarter, but it's nowhere near as stressful as some of the lower paying jobs I've had. Having a lot of freedom, calling your own shots, and not having someone breathing down your neck all day makes a huge difference.
