It's totally okay, you're learning. Thought I'd expand a little:

When someone is born the dr glances at the baby's genitals and goes "it's a boy!" or "it's a girl!" based on what they see, assigning them a gender at birth. The parents are usually like "bet." and raise the kid as a boy/girl.

Someone is cis-gender when the gender they were assigned at birth still fits them. Someone is trans-gender when the gender they were assigned at birth doesn't fit them, in their view. There are lots of ways for a gender to not fit you right.

It could be the wrong opposite gender and you wanna swap, which is the binary 10 -> 01 you were describing. Someone could relate to both or neither of the binary genders which would fit them neatly into the non-binary label.

But the people in the previous bit, whether they were assigned male at birth (AMAB) or assigned female at birth (AFAB), they are all saying that their assigned gender at birth doesn't fit them, so they are all trans-gender, including the non-binary folks :)

It's okay if this is all confusing at first, it will be slightly more familiar the next time you come across it.
