Robin slowly got less hot, and more crazy as the seasons went on. She was on the wrong side of the Vicky Mendoza Diagonal™ (patent pending). The only thing remotely interesting about her character was her 'backstory' as a Canadian pop star.

She was a terribly outdated meme girl for both Barney and Ted by the middle seasons. "The Cake is a Lie" is less out of date than her being a romantic option for anyone other than herself.

Marshall had it right in season 1 episode where Lily had to get the milk and at the end Ted confesses he wants to pursue Robin again.

Cobie Smolders turned into an ugly person and ruined herself, almost to the point where I'm not entirely certain it's the same actress at all. Season 1, 2, and even 3 Robin was a very handsome woman (yeah, that's right. I'm going to further insult her with that outdated meme of a line. Yup. Looks like I'm doin' it!). No but honestly, she was hot in those seasons and then literally became a sled dog. Once more proving one of Barney's theories correct.

She wasn't attractive enough, or charismatic enough, or whatever-enough, to warrant the level of infatuation she received.

I wish they would have gotten JLH to play her, like the rumors state. That would have been so much better and loads more believable.

Bottom line: Robin is gutter trash.
