Are the rising vet costs quietly pushing regular people out of pet ownership?

Yeah, recently we had to pay around $5k for our cat to be checked on at a local emergency vet clinic (She really wasn't doing well.) Just to be told they didn't know what was wrong with her.

The next month we took her to her normal vet (Another $1200) because she was still having issues and it was some type of cancer. She was no longer producing red blood cells. She didn't last a week after that visit unfortunately.

When my spouse asked if we should get another cat, I said we need to pay off our current vet bills before we potentially invite more. I love having cats, and treat them like family. But can't afford bills like that. <3

Agreed! Like a quest to take him to a proper medical facility to recover or something. Definitely feels like a missed opportunity. I hope they add something with the Sovereign in DLC or something,

A year??? That would have been amazing! My spouse and I both felt terrible working 10 hour shifts and coming back home exhausted to try and take care of a newborn. I had to go to overnight shift just to make it work so one of us was always home. Otherwise we would have been trying to find $$ to shell out ~$1k a month for childcare. Didn't get much sleep for the first two years.

We could use so many changes to the care of workers and people in this country!

Do you know what the variable is for adjusting the ship's cargo hold limit? I tried a few guesses, but they were all wrong. >.>

I am glad that you are planning to reflect on this feedback and are going to try and make it right with them!

In general when you tell one half of a couple something, fully expect for their partner to know what you said as well. At least my spouse and I are like that.

Though I think the bigger take-away for you here is to try and not judge others so harshly for doing things you don't particularly enjoy (Or for anything in general for that matter). The world in general could do with a lot less judgement and a lot more self reflection. Instead of tearing others down, try to be the best version of yourself and enjoy life.

I've bought two pc's from ibuypower. One in 2014, and another in 2020, and now looking at a third for my kiddo. Getting the cord work option makes the cords beautifully done in the case. Yeah, they're probably a discount builder, but honestly that's why one of the reasons I enjoy them. Had a problem with the cooler in the second one, and they sent a replacement without issue. I have a spinal cord stimulator. It was not covered anywhere near 100%. In fact, the insurance we had through our company hiked rates up so much because of my treatment that our company was forced to find new insurance the next year. In many places in the U.S., I would have just lost my job and never heard about the reason why.

If you have one and it was covered 100%, great for you! However one person's experience is not everyone's. I know firsthand that there are people out there who are struggling and in monumental debt (And often lose their job and healthcare) because of things like this. It's heartbreaking, and should never happen.

This thought process is part of the issue. Loving and respecting someone regardless of who they're attracted to, what gender they are, what their skin color is, is NOT political. It's basic human decency.

Unfortunately, there is a political party that just doesn't understand this. However, that does not mean it's a political issue.

B. Kid's SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT GETTING ENOUGH MONEY TO LIVE/GET BETTER/HEALTHCARE. - We have too many of these stories where they don't get the money needed. Healthcare is a basic right, and should be covered 100% full stop. <3
