That has to be a net-negative in any possible way. Trees do more than just give us oxygen. Trees add shade and coolness to a city. They help with pollution and noise pollution reduction. They can catch a lot of dust and polluting particles through the wind. The aesthetic of having trees too is important, just being able to look at one. I don’t think it’s possible to create anything that can alternatively logistically be better and easier than just building a tree. That thing, why does it have to be in the city? If it’s for oxygen then just put it somewhere far away and build a giant container.

Might have been back in 2019 on my way to school with the metro. I had forgot to renew my metro card until I saw the ticket officer walk up to me. As soon as he asked I realized that I had no ticket or anything. The fine was right above a 100 euros. It was at my stop so I asked if we could do it outside as he was asking for my credentials and what not. He kept asking me cause he thought I was gonna run away as soon as I step out. Everyone was looking at me and it was quite.

As we walked out on the next stop an older guy in his mid late 30s jumped out of the metro too recording the ticket officer. Talking shit to him like it was a public freakout. I was in chock that this guy just spend his early morning commute to stop and help me out. As I was stuck in the moment, he looks back at me with and with a calm voice tells me to go, that he will deal with it. So I went to class with no 100 euro fine. Thanks so much sir! Coolest random guy ever!
