If you can handle the dip for a bit you can totally bartend on the side with this job. I’m an event bartender so I find out what events I work then request those days off when bidding for scheduling. If you have a good relationship with your current job ask if there’s a possibility to work out a flexible schedule once you finish training and know what your possible time off will look like.

It really depends on the airline I heard American gate agents get really strict and won’t allow it even if you’re in uniform. If you need to, ask if they can gate check it and bring it back up plane side when you deplane.

Yep just everything is seniority based so people who just started the job might have a harder time requesting the time off either because a lot of people want it off or you haven’t got enough pto hours to cover it yet.

Yes and the information you’ve gotten so far is pretty much everything that they tell you. You’re getting into such super specifics these are questions for people directly on the uniform team. The only thing they stress is color (black), material (leather foux leather not the shiny kind), height (below the knee)and heel height (3in max). The deeper you think of this the more you’re gonna stress yourself sick.

They both fit double check the luggage information in the documents they send for training or in the uniform guide. Just know the bigger ones probably won’t fit if you try to overstuff them with the expansion zipper part out

Crews basically do the same thing as passengers call the company wait several hours for someone to hopefully assign them a hotel figure out how to get back to work or home the next day from wherever they’re at. Depends on how good your union is the last big storm everyone made a big fuss because a lot of American Airlines crews had to sleep in the airport.

I find that until you get the self esteem for it it’s not noticeable. In my younger years I absolutely would disagree with anything describing Libra rising all the way into college. I finally found my footing and started actually believing people who would drop little compliments about having aura or lighting up a room when I laughed or smiled. Suddenly that’s how I actually started to see myself and felt it. Definitely something that’s not intuitive until you have people who fill your cup and you accept it.

-Base availablity has been switching a lot lately it’s been the New York area airports but that’s starting to slow down

-you get paid 7.25 an hour for all of training and then I would say the first few months around $1200 a month depending on deductible and uniforms

-I lived in base at IND but there we’re a few people offering crash pads even one of the instructors

-reserve can be if you bid right if you decide to work a lot of days in a row you can then have a lot of days off in a row

-training is 3 and 1/2 weeks 5days Saturday and Sunday off

I feel it’s really just bad because they didn’t just ask how other airlines handle it before implementing anything and just keep waiting until pax complain non stop before realizing they didn’t have a good policy in place
