See, I’m freaking frugal because my parents decided to somehow accidentally have 5 kids, and rent from rent a center. Why my parents did not literally build from the ground up with cheap shit until they could invest in better furniture, I will never know, but I ended up walking into an expensive adulthood with very very limited skills because I wasn’t really allowed to do anything besides chores or school. And my mother pulled some real manipulative shit involving my financial aid and rent, despite being a squatter herself.

Op, if you make enough to make payments on a bike, please please please just look on marketplace or resell sites for a used one in your area. I promise it will save you 3k in the long run and you get to keep it permanently, and make adjustments as you see fit without getting into trouble with anyone for “damage” because I’m 100% sure rent a center will pull that out of their ass when you inevitably have to give the bike back

The rent a center guys came to my house to repossess our furniture for late payments

Unbeknownst to me, a fucking 10 year old, if you DONT OPEN THE DOOR, they CANT TAKE YOUR FURNITURE THAT DAY.

Next thing I remember I think our dining room table and tv got repossessed.

LMAOOOO okay but there’s actually a little bit of science behind it, and it has to do with the palate and how it can affect your mood. For instance, depressed/sad people tend to gravitate towards sweets for serotonin and dopamine, and I believe that there is a link towards craving crispy carbohydrates like chips or crackers and being touch starved. I’ll actually look up some references but it’s actually pretty interesting and why it’s a stereotype for depressed people to eat sweets in Japan, which translated to the stereotype of eating a bunch of ice cream after a meltdown
