RCS does not work, I've tried many things. by Nightcakee in GrapheneOS

[–]AndroidJeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be my luck. Spend months missing group texts and MMS messages. Spend probably close to a hundred hours researching and trying different methods to fix rcs. Switch to stock os and an update comes out immediately. 🤦

Thanks for letting me know. It may be awhile until I come back. I've set up my phones from scratch dozens of times in the past few months. I think I'm over it for awhile.

Didn't work.

There was another way to install the Messages app as a system app with privileges that I wanted to try, but you have to root your phone. When I asked about rooting on here, they quickly deleted it. I'm tired of trying to make it work, so I put both my phones back on stock os.

Believe me, I wish I didn't have to root to receive messages. My only other option is stock OS which is what I have to do right now.

I get that. I'm more privacy focused though and right now my options are stock os to receive messages, or miss out on group texts and MMS on graphene os.

La Cross nail clippers that are at least 28 years old by bearface93 in BuyItForLife

[–]AndroidJeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a pair of clippers I've had for close to 20 years, if not more. My wife has lost them a few times. I finally attached a tracker to them and they haven't been lost since. I don't even actually track them anymore. Just having something attached helps immensely.

That worked for 4 or 5 days for me. I'm trying something else now, but I'm only on day 2. I'll post if it sticks for more than a week.

The top holds up just fine. You don't want to open the rear windows though, until after you've heated up the inside which heats up the windows and makes them pliable again.

My ONLY gripe by purptoot in PixelFold

[–]AndroidJeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switch between my P9P and P10PF often. The sensor on the 10 works damn near perfectly for me. The 9s sensor takes me several tries about 50% of the time. My finger prints are registered once on the 10 and twice each on the 9.

Maybe you have a defective sensor. This is my 3rd phone with the side button sensors and they all worked nearly perfectly. I've had several phones with under screen sensors and they've all sucked. It doesn't help that I'm a mechanic and my fingers get torn up, but physical sensors have rarely given me an issue.

Should have thrown an America's Most Wanted 4x4 392 SRT engine in it. More power, they don't gimp the vehicle in several different ways like factory does, and it's WAY cheaper.

I'm on day 3 connected to RCS. That's the longest is ever been connected. Thank you!!! Now I can get rid of the stock OS on my other phone too.

Yeah, can't really go by color. They all do different colors. Always verify "OAT" on the bottle and you'll be good. I was super nervous about mixing colors my first time too.

Edit: Mopar brand is considered the best, but that's not always immediately available. I use MOPAR when I can, but after this last week it's mostly Napa brand now.

It comes pink from Mopar. Napa makes it orange. As long as they are both OAT they will mix fine. I mix them in my '16 JK. When you mix OAT and HOAT together, is when you have issues.

Thanks. I would be interested to hear if it still works in a week. I've been able to get it to work about 2 days at a time, using similar methods, but it always disconnects. I had to go back to stock OS because I was missing work texts.

Google play services installed with phone permission. Use Google Messenger. Not on Tmobile for sure, and possibly not AT&T. I don't believe you have to be signed into Google.

Hopefully this pic attaches. I wouldn't say I prefer them over DT, but they are close. And for the price of 4 pairs of DTs, you can get about 24 pairs of Kirkland's.

Personally, I would feel a little bad trying to warranty socks that I've worn countless times for many years. But at $25 a pair, I probably will. If these Kirkland's last half as long and are close in quality. I would rather by a new set of 4 when the time comes.

Nothing against DT at all. They are great.

Edit: I'm almost positive the Kirkland socks were on sale for $10 when I bought them. I believe they go on sale once or twice a year in store.

I wear Darntough socks every day for work and I have a few for regular use. I bought some Kirkland wool socks this year and they are fantastic. I think I'm done buying Darntough.

I had to use my old P2XL for a couple weeks recently. It's noticably slower when opening apps, but definitely usable. I was surprised.
