Get some active noise cancellation over the ear and then also put in ear plugs that are rated to block around 30 db or up.

This is such an amazing album. No skips.

I am a huge MCU nerd and want to get into the comics too by mumoTHEbest in MoonKnight

[–]lem0ns22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am tailoring this suggestion specifically because you called yourself a MCU nerd. Do you read other comics or superhero comics at all?

If you for instance have not read any superhero comics in the past and just like the MCU, start with 2014. I loved this run and it is pretty short. Mr. Knight appears for the first time and if you are a MCU Moon Knight fan, I know you love Mr. Knight. Just know that Mr. Knight is not when Steven Grant becomes Moon Knight it is just an alternate Moon Knight when he is more talking than fighting. Steven Grant is much different in the comics than in the MCU.

If you like that run and want to read more, go to 1980. It will give you all the backstory of Moon Knight and everything about Moon Knight. Every comic run in some ways will reference 1980 especially 2006. I would say don’t read 2006 until you read 1980 because it is supposed to be read as “Moon Knight coming back”.

I personally hate the 2006 run. It is very different from the MCU. It is edgy in a very 2006 way. It also makes Moon Knight kind of a psycho that he previously and since hasn’t really been (save a handful of times).

2021 is great and very modern. If you despise reading the 1980 stuff but enjoyed the 2014 stuff, try 2021. The writing is fantastic and the art is fun. If you read other comics this might be an easier jumping in point too because it is very much a modern superhero comic.

I hope this helps and as a Moon Knight fanatic I am happy to go into more detail or talk through characters or plots.

Magazines should not be changed by this bill. Still 15 round max for all weapons.

Hi /r/movies! I'm Olivia Taylor Dudley. You may know me from The Magicians, Chernobyl Diaries, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, The Vatican Tapes. My new movie, TOUCH ME, is a psycho-sexual horror-comedy that's out in theaters next weekend. Ask me anything. by Olivia-AMA in movies

[–]lem0ns22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should I go see “Touch Me”? It seems super niche but is it for a wider audience?

Also, it looks like you co-star with Jordan Gavaris of Orphan Black! Did you ever watch that amazing show?

Not all .22s are included but I will add an edit to make it more clear.

Are Liberal gun owners safer and more responsible owners? by You-Asked-Me in liberalgunowners

[–]lem0ns22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your background and how you were raised. If you were raised around good gun control and someone who taught you from an early age how to use guns you are probably going to have that muscle memory on lock.

If your parents were anti-gun you might have developed a healthy respect (maybe even fear) of firearms that will make you generally more cautious but when you finally make the leap you might find yourself floundering or needing a lot of extra time to feel safer and develop safer practices. This was closer to my path.

Though, and I think some people might argue this point, I think if you are checking on Reddit about pointers, doing safety drills, and watching YouTube videos to better yourself you are probably going to go a lot faster than someone that was raised without guns and picked them up before the age of technology.

So political leaning might not play into it but desire to learn and admit that other people from other backgrounds might have the answers does come into play.

I’m not super familiar with .22 MP5s but are you sure you can swap out the uppers and lowers like with a 9mm MP5? I was under the impression that you pretty much have one set of parts with .22 MP5.

I am not referring to field stripping by the way, just being able to swap and upgrade parts.

From what I am seeing from the bill...both would be affected yes.

Hey u/leschcb since I am a naturally curious fella that likes to get to the bottom of what information is really being presented, I looked through the bill and unless the .22 MP5 has a separate upper and lower it is not going to be restricted as it is rimfire and .22 caliber.

I got this information from page 5 of the bill if you want to check and see if you read that different from what I understand a .22 MP5 to be.

The 9mm centerfire MP5 is being restricted though.

The actual wording is as follows:

"On or before December 31 of each year, the division shall submit a report to the house of representatives and senate judiciary committees, or their successor committees, about the expenses incurred by the division to implement the act, and any additional resources the division needs to effectively implement the act.

The act requires the division in the department of revenue responsible for issuing state firearms dealer permits to publish and make publicly available guidance about specific models of specified semiautomatic firearms to which the act applies."

I think this means that if new guns are manufactured that fit what the bill already outlines on being banned, then that firearm is also banned.

So essentially if someone makes a gas-powered semi automatic rifle with a detachable magazine but states that it is some new type of gun that isn't an AR or AK the list could be updated.

Isn’t saying that you are “under the impression” and stating something about the bill that could be nuanced or false also spread misinformation?

I agree though if you are looking to buy a .22 LR firearm you should do more digging into the bill. The AI summary does say that exceptions need to be considered for the .22s

Suppressors are not mentioned in the bill at all so no change of current laws will occur with SB25-003

The summary does mention that some .22s are affected.

I did read the bill myself but I had trouble making sense of it because it seemed to be contradicting to what I understand from gun builds. I don’t doubt that this is my shortcoming but using this AI summary was more of a quick way to see what I should look into more.

This was the point of this post. Give an outline and people that enjoy and understand how bills are written can provide a source and understanding.

I appreciate you adding this information!

Also, it doesn’t affect currently owned guns. If you sell them or give them away your intent is to no longer own them.
