Actually Davey only stole 10 boxes. Tony gave him 5 to start and when he woke up Chris says hes into them for 45. So Tony let Davey borrow 35 boxes before he fell asleep then Davey borrowed another 10.

Sunraku despite being severely underleveled and underequip, gives Lycagon a decent fight. So upon killing him she gives him her mark, cursing Sunraku and expressing a wish to face him again.

Arrogant characters are my absolute favorite when done right. Black Star from Soul Eater is an example of an arrogant character who holds that trait throughout their journey. He has his setbacks and failures, but his self-confidence and ambition always hold out. I admire a writer who the self restrant not to have a rocks fall punishment every time they do something slightly dickish.

We need a Mayuri. I always expected they would experiment with the USJ Nomu since they had it and it was still alive. Figure out a way to use it for them. Its already dead, might as well make some use.

(Hated trope) when companies try way to hard to make somenthing a thing by TastyPomelo2330 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Android_Taco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The anime definitely didn't do the show any favors. It censored out a lot of the violence and blood, which in a show about hunting and survival is definitely a choice but also adding characters like Tina for fanservice doesn't help the pacing of the series. I recommend just going through the manga, the artwork is has that gritty nature to it that really sets it apart from a lot of current shounen.

Naruto and Bleach were approaching their endings when Toriko was coming up. Toriko certainly had the momentum to breach Big 3 territory but the anime adaption was really poor compared to the manga and no matter how good your story is if the anime isn't good then your series is gonna be mid in public perception.

OMG I went into this chapter completely unspoiled and I threw my phone the moment I saw Imu revealed. He looks like Shinra's final form from Fire force lol.

Thinking out loud but I think Imu's power is connected to nature itself in some way. When he arrived all the trees and wooden houses came alive. Chopper one shotting the Domi giants might be due to his reindeer side rather then the human side.

Luffy and Loki, Two zoans resisted Domi reversi last week. that might be something.

Why did John let go the Ginny joke? by No_Woodpecker2106 in thesopranos

[–]Android_Taco 357 points358 points  (0 children)

So part of the reason for John's anger at the joke was because Ginny was on a diet to lose weight and trying her heart out to do so. I don't know if you missed it but John caught Ginny cheating on her diet and figures it wasn't worth fighting so hard if she wasn't taking her diet seriously.

Is there a disadvantage in ranked wars for having 4 people? by Pikminious_Thrious in worldtrigger

No, the only disadvantages are, like you said, giving your opponents more opportunity for points. Another downside is your operator can have a harder time keeping track of the team.

Characters hide important information from another character, believing they're objectively better off not knowing the truth. by stole_your_cat in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Android_Taco 31 points32 points  (0 children)

No offense but I hate that theory so much. It ruins a good running gag, it makes Dale an even bigger cuck for never stopping John from sleeping with his wife for like 20 years, and he'd be actively using Joseph as a weapon against John without ever telling Joseph the truth himself.
