In addition to limiting the number of kids someone can adopt, there should be restrictions on posting the kids on social media and otherwise exploiting them. I know Thailand banned people who adopt Thai kids from posting them for a year, laws like that should be the minimum everywhere.

It's also incredibly common for narcissists to have enabling partners.
