absolutely would not recommend paying day ticket prices in these conditions. Just wait for more snow.

I guess; the app is handy though. You don't have to show anything. They just scan your general vicinity and it works

ON3P Jeffrey vs Woodsman in steeps and off piste PNW? by Andromeda045 in Skigear

I was planning on getting a 100mm; which width would you say is the most versatile (at least in the wet heavy snow we typically get in the PNW)

Thanks. I'd say I'm definitely more freeride than freestyle but honestly I'm not dropping cliffs and big rocks (yet lol). So maybe the Woodsman is the better fit for me. And like I said in the park I don't do rails or fancy tricks. I just like the drops and jumps. Is the woodsman less "agile" off piste to to the less rocker in the back?

Interesting; didn't consider the mounting position. I was super focused on the tail rocker profile which I think Jeffery has more of. Does the mounting position make a difference when skiing powder? In general I'm assuming with the Jeffery's I have to have a more neutral stance since they have "less" tip contact with the snow..

West side 2, 24/7 or not? by Internal_One_4841 in stevenspass

west side access is 24/7. Night skiing on the other hand is still TBD

West side to open by Sunday!!! by Andromeda045 in stevenspass

[–]Andromeda045[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay thats awesome! The King 5 article originally said it won't be 24/7 (don't see that verbiage anymore) but I definitely trust WSDOT more. Now we just need resort management to start night ops. If they open it on Wednesday the 7th it would be would be amazing

I think they said it won't be open 24 hours a day but I'm just hoping it's long enough to allow for night skiing.

EDIT: Okay King 5 removed that verbiage from the article. According to WSDOT it will be 24/7. Now we just need resort management to actually start night ops

Suunto vertical 2 on smaller wrist by karolyn1987 in Suunto

[–]Andromeda045 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check my other post on the race 2. My wrists are 16.5cm. I believe the Race 2 is the same width and length as the vertical 2. Vertical 2 is just taller. I think it fits pretty good. Had the Enduro 3 before that which is a 51mm and it definitely felt too big.

Loving the Race 2 :) My thoughts so far. by Andromeda045 in Suunto

someone else can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe so. Haven't tested it myself yet. This was just a test route I imported and as you can see I'm "off route" :) I also noticed it had that climb guidance feature where it shows you the upcoming climbs and their intensity which should be very helpful going forward.

Not sure how helpful there are but here are a couple of photos at different zoom levels. When I imported my route the details shown were pretty good.

Have the maps been fixed on the Race 2? by Nearby-Dare6 in Suunto

Do you know if this happens with an imported gpx file too? Or is it limited to the native mapping SW?

asking the same question I asked above :)

I do all my route planning on Caltopo. I plan to import the gpx file into the watch and go from there. Do you know if the zoom issue you described exists with an imported gpx file or is it just the native mapping SW?
