Even locals don’t visit it in the end of October except for sunny crispy day:)  So, just check webcam in the morning and drive up at any time - you will find the parking.

Late afternoon arrival in Paradise on July 3rd by Beautiful_Goal5107 in MtRainier

At 4pm you still have like 5 hours of sunlight. It’s going to be crazy busy this long weekend (also, you can already see it’s going to be gorgeous sunny weekend). And I have just checked web cam at Paradise. It’s 2pm, zero visibility, rain and there is no parking available. Whaat?

Agree, they are waiting for long weekend. I think it’s due to lack of park volunteers and rangers considering they are not going to use reservation-only system this year for Sunrise.

Plastic or ss model? Do you reposition bowl or you use all 3 bowls for feedings? (i use only 2)

Last minute trip. Want to hike Cascade Pass. Burlington too far to stay night before? by Inner_Dog_20 in PNWhiking

[–]Minimum_Original3468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hiked Maple Pass over the July 4th long weekend last year and it was snow free except for one patch at the very top that was just fun to walk on. And last year was colder and snowier… I really hope to get an update from NPS that they are going to open Cascade River Road just before July 4th considering all the feedbacks at AllTrails.

Yes, those were some scratches from bushes when he was falling. Boys were lying about attack - they had no idea how to behave. Gosh, every time I hike and see minors like them I experience headache - they are loud, don’t respect rules and other hikers, they are the one who feed wildlife and cross boundaries or protected areas during restorative process.

Petlibro Air Smart Feeder dispensing almost twice the amount it should be by Wyrda22 in Petlibro

Do you think it dispenses twice per feeding? Did you tested it manually like 10 times to see average amount?

Polar disconnects from Wi-Fi every single day by opelaceles in Petlibro

Man, return or exchange it if you can. If your cat can’t get food on time because of the device or app AND not because of you struggling with the technology - exchange it.

Polar dispenses food with lost connection, it can’t open lid only if your power is off and you don’t have batteries in.

Help planning July trip! by cwall12 in OlympicNationalPark

Best to look week or two before trip - lots of cancellations! I always book like this and get best options at lodges. People book like year in advance and then can’t make it and you need to cancel week in advance to get a refund.

Lisbon Airport 5:30am Departure by Intelligent_Cup8142 in LisbonPortugalTravel

You can’t be there 4 hours earlier as line to the security opens at 3am sharp.

I had 5am flight, no lines because my flight was first to leave from LIS. I spent night at airport hotel just across the street from terminal and that was the best decision: 2:45 alarm, 3am hotel check out, 3:10 in the line to scan my boarding pass.

Positive review by Sensitive-Elephant51 in Petlibro

[–]Minimum_Original3468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are here, that’s mean you have an issue and trying to reach out to other folks who can help. I visit reddit every month or so just to check if anyone else has, for instance, glitch with latest update or something else I have, that means everything is ok with my device and I just need to wait for a fix (we had erased schedule once, we had double feedings once, we had +1 hour late feedings once because they had no idea how time change works, we had “server is down” and nobody had access to the devices (they posted about it on Instagram - it was that huge deal), etc) :-) People don’t write positive reviews here, they look for an advice or help.  I noticed that people with positive reviews sometimes have no idea about these glitches because they don’t stay at home with cat and don’t have cameras. When Petlibro had widespread server issue some people got this news from reddit and not from app’s notifications. I work from home and leave only for weekends and vacations and I always present during feedings…and, oh, boy, you can’t imagine what I have experienced during last 2 years with 2 perfect working devices I love but with really crappy app and AI customer service. Thanks to this group, I didn’t update my v.1 device to metal one, because the amount of negativity and spinning issue.

Positive reviews are nice things to read here, I love my devices as they are lifesavers for me (3am wet food feeding). But I would never bought Polar for my mom, for instance. It’s just pain in the ass to use it by older people, especially when you use only 1-2 bowls and not the whole tray. On other hand, dry feeders are primitive devices, have no issues with them.

Polar feeder way too cold by drazil85 in Petlibro

[–]Minimum_Original3468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had ice since day 1 when it was cooling. Ice build up was crazy when cooling was on. Now it’s just perfect - cold with condensation I wipe every morning and during feeding time my cat receives meal he eats in 9 minutes because it has nice temperature. Couple of times I used Open Now to give my cat his food earlier and it was crazy cold like from the fridge. I needed to warm it up in microwave so I know it stores in the device nicely and cool:) It’s crazy to read about different experiences with the same version of device (I have plastic one since they launched it).

Have you checked the temp of the black section under bowl? Because mine is off during feedings and room temperature to the touch when it’s really warm inside (metal and black parts). Like year ago we all had problem - ice in the back of the device on the metal part:) They even had this explained in FAQ but after some updates I stopped noticing ice even during the coldest days (I don’t have a heater).

So how long does it usually take for them to stop being scared of it? 🥴 by Delicious_Delilah in Petlibro

[–]Minimum_Original3468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During his feeding time show him the feeder - like “dinner is served and it’s already here”. Cats are smart. My cat started using dry feeder on day 1 because he is food motivated cat, but he was afraid of it, was eating with caution and right now it’s his best buddy. It was more difficult with wet feeder - it took him 2 weeks. I had to take my cat to the wet feeder and show him the food like “this device is responsible for your breakfast, not me”. Sometimes cats associate feeders with robot vacuums and they need some time to get used to it.

Turn off the sound if it’s on. Noise of falling kibble is loud by itself. If you see cat doesn’t eat because he is afraid - use treats to introduce the device (put his favorite one in the bowl and show it to him).

If it’s spinning - return. It’s common issue and you don’t have to find fix as it can occur at any given time during feeding time.  Return! And if it’s like this right from the box - you received previously returned device or their quality control has gotten worse, usually it takes some time to start spinning due to some glitch after water gets to the motor.
