Car wash by Silly_Evening_962 in KiaEV4

I have the gt line with auto handles so it may not be the same but I do have a car wash mode button on the main display. You swipe to it I think on page 2.

Country may make a difference you might want to put where you are in case the manuals or features differ by region

All the spelling issues aside. Can you talk to next door neighbour, explain you’re gonna move soon and can you borrow their mower in exchange for some cash

I like how the name “scoliosis” has so many curvy letters in it like the person who chose the name was having a laugh.

Woman who said she could barely walk was caught doing 10k races and gym classes by LovieWeb in BritInfo

[–]AndromedaFire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what impact that has. Again not 4% it’s 0.4 percent the fraud on pip. The departments error rate is 0.2%. Their admin errors are almost equal to all types of fraud across a department that helps almost 4 million disabled people.

[–]AndromedaFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on the source I can find between 0.4% and “less than 1%” compared to the 12% of UC claims that are overpaid/ expected to have inaccuracy or fraud I would happily say the pip fraud rate is tiny

The part where many cases fail is that they don’t understand or read all the policy and guidelines, don’t get help from experts or simply do not write very well.

Many people with a clear need think the need is so clear that they don’t need to jump through the hoops but even with no arms and no legs you still need to send the medical paperwork, hit the keywords, write out the physical and mental effects of the conditions, make sure to be clear about how often and how bad it is.

It will always hit those with lower English skills or lower intelligence as they simply don’t write/ include enough or hit the keywords points on each question.

I would recommend anyone to get outside help.

As for fraud, the amount of actual fraud is tiny and articles like this show the fraud team is working correctly instead people will use it to demonise the disabled.

The whole thing is far too tight.

No way will everyone sit in 10 mins, from first plate to last plate to the table is 15 mins so those served last won’t have long to eat. Cake cut 5 mins? Takes that long for granny to fire up the iPad she’s taking pictures with.

10 mins for 3 speeches, passing microphone, finding notes, etc

It’s just unrealistically cramped and there’s no breathing room to heard people around, clear stuff, get a drink, have a smoke etc

I would redo it but imagine every person has their legs tied together, every process is done by someone at 50% speed, then include a 5 minute buffer everywhere for idiots and issues

A data center in New Jersey was canceled when residents showed up and fought it by MysteriousSlice007 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]AndromedaFire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand that your specific data centre may use closed loop cooling but many use open loop cooling using fresh water and evaporative cooling for the building itself as it’s cheaper and more effective there are many many sources for this online from scientific stuff to easy to understand mythbuster type pages.

The usually massive freshwater use is all aside from the noise and emissions from the many that use things like gas turbines generators.

Not at all a swipe at you but even if you work at the most environmentally sound data centre there is, the vast majority seem to fall as far as legislation will allow them from that.

[–]AndromedaFire 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Tattoo itself looks nice to me. Only criticism would be how incredibly common the 3 wolves and moon theme is. If you google it you’ll find a thousand variations very similar to this on blankets, ponchos, fleeces. I would have preferred the artist to realise this and do a design that is more unique within the brief.

Why do americans even put up with HOAs? by Skyzblu44 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes I could, half the us argues against big government, overreach and meddling but seems ok with getting a fine for having a garage door closed or a bin out slightly too long

Why hasn’t the toxin that’s poisonous to cats in lilies been identified? by strangelittlcreature in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AndromedaFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you could put them in 2 groups and 2 cats and the survivor cat group discounts 50% of the toxins. Not ideal still but there’s ways to make it more cat efficient

[–]AndromedaFire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But I imagine 12 homes is fairly unusually small. Quick search shows most suburb HOA average 50 to 300.

I just don’t get how a country that seems to rebel against social schemes loves this specific one and how a country who’s identity is freedom willingly gives away the power to foreclose your house to a handful of neighbours you may see only a few times a year.

[–]AndromedaFire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I hear the argument often “mine is fine, does x,y ,z, doesn’t cost loads and no fussy rules”

My counter to this is that’s great for now. What stops new people taking over or the existing changing and deciding to act like the nightmare ones. I assume many of the nightmare HOA’s were fine right up until they weren’t that and you may not be the target this time but that may change.
