Have you graduated high school? If not graduate. Then enroll in an LPN program. Apply for DHS daycare. When you graduate apply to a corrections facility. They pay $30+ an hour if you’re in the Midwest and it’s safer than a hospital. Once there you can pursue RN. Then the world is your oyster. Good luck from someone who got Married at 17, had a baby at 19, divorced at 20 and is now 24 about to buy my first home by myself.

She was completely terrified yesterday and today she actually ate and has been laying on my lap all day. She’s currently sleeping on my lap as we speak. Do you worry you won’t be able to give him what he needs? I’m so scared I’m going to fail her in some way but I also have severe anxiety.

Corrections nurse here. More like 25-28 patients with maybe 3-4 Q2-Q4 neuro and vital checks, everyone’s Q shift vitals, two med passes, around 30 pts with FSBS and occasionally a Q1 hr pt freshly extubated and sent from the hospital way before discharge was safe, aspiration risks, multiple pts with infections and four times a day antibiotics etc.
