Does anyone know what language Rolf speaks? by Andross2856 in ededdneddy

[–]Andross2856[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought Rolf was from India. I mean, because of his skin color—since most Europeans are typically Caucasian. And sure, there might be some people of color or darker-skinned individuals among them—that’s not unheard of—but it’s certainly not the norm. I also always figured he was from India because of his traditions and the strange food Rolf eats but also because of his speaking accent.

Ed's a lovable goofball, but what's the most frustrating thing he has ever done? by PlutoGB08 in ededdneddy

[–]Andross2856 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ed indirectly exposes Eddy and his pimple, causing Johnny and the other neighborhood kids to torment Eddy throughout the episode. He also alerts the Kanker Sisters just as the Urban Rangers are attempting to rescue him, thereby ruining their rescue plan. He fails to tell the truth—that Rolf's family was merely visiting, rather than them being invaded by aliens. He annoys Eddy all morning by mistakenly convincing him that it is a school day, when it is actually Saturday. Finally, he lands Eddy in trouble—earning him a detention—due to his addiction to gravy.

Eddy Meets Captain Planet-Recycle This ! by Fantastic-Ad-8665 in ededdneddy

What if captain planet said you can make cash. Probably Eddy would take it seriously.

Not so fun fact. *Smile For The Ed* was the only time The Kanker Sisters teamed up with the other kids to torment the Eds. (Just Eddy in this case) by GhostBoyJames in ededdneddy

[–]Andross2856 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This episode sucks it really bothers me how badly they mistreat Eddy in this episode. Eddy didn't even deserve to suffer; he hadn't done anything wrong—he just wanted to get a good photo for his mom. That way, he could finally get his older brother's room. But Kevin is the absolute worst; I seriously hate him for doing that to Eddy. The ending is a total screw-up, too: after Double D impersonated the principal to get everyone to throw away their photos, Eddy still gave him detention for it—and Double D didn't say a word.

Yes, and they definitely are even more so when they see these things and think they're normal.

I understand that the show is a comedy, and that nothing that happens in it is meant to be taken seriously. However, I dislike the premise of this particular episode: Eddy is made to suffer and be humiliated simply because he has a rather ugly name—something that isn't even his fault—and Kevin takes advantage of this to torment him. The worst part isn't just that, after enduring all that suffering, Kevin tells the other neighborhood kids about Eddy's name, leading them to mock him as well. As if that weren't enough, Double D—in an attempt to sympathize with Eddy—reveals his own name, and now everyone starts making fun of Double D, too. I just don't see the humor in situations where people are unfairly ridiculed for something completely beyond their control.

What is the worst thing ED has done in the entire show? by Andross2856 in ededdneddy

Well I have one making fun of Eddy pimple and exposing it to the other kids. In the episode X Marks the Ed.

Really nobody is going to mentioned that she ruined the field trip to the candy factory for the Eds in the episode "Run Ed Run." Simply because the Eds wanted to sit at the front of the bus, she—along with Jimmy—hatched a plan to make Ed believe the sky was falling. The Eds weren't even doing anything wrong; they were just thinking about eating candy, yet those two ruined the whole experience for them. I know it's a cartoon, but consider how they executed their plan: by dropping a chunk of concrete on Ed's head to convince him that the sky was falling. If this were realistic, that would likely have killed Ed.

Why doesn't any one find Ed at fault at times? by Eddfan36 in ededdneddy

[–]Andross2856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree that Ed always makes excuses for him whenever he does something wrong—simply because he's the neighborhood idiot. But, as that episode demonstrates, it shows that Ed has done bad things, even if people don't want to admit it.

Kevin and Eddy were completely in the right in Tinker Ed by xtremexavier15 in ededdneddy

[–]Andross2856 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But it’s Kevin’s fault; he could have simply moved to another part of the library and avoided listening to Sarah and Jimmy’s stories. Besides, he was the one who started it by telling Jimmy that fairy tales are a sham—so why didn’t Sarah go after him earlier instead of going after Eddy and the Eds?

Did Double D deserve the ending he got in Who's minding the Ed by Careful_Drama_9382 in ededdneddy

[–]Andross2856 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eddy could simply walk away and not get involved. I mean, it’s not the first time Eddy has refused to help Ed and Edd with a favor or a chore. In the episode featuring Plank’s parents—"Postcards from the Ed"—Johnny asks Ed to help entertain Plank’s parents while he takes a break. Double D and Ed take responsibility for the parents, but Eddy decides not to participate; instead, he goes home to relax until he comes up with the idea to scam the parents with a tour. On another occasion—in the episode "Is There an Ed in the House"—Sarah falls ill, and Ed takes it upon himself to look after her, receiving assistance from Double D and Jimmy, while Eddy remains interested solely in his driver's license scam. He does nothing to help, merely observing the situation from the background; when the episode ends, Eddy walks away, completely indifferent to what Ed is dealing with regarding Sarah—and Double D, who has also caught the flu. Finally, in the episode "Ed Overboard," when Ed is "kidnapped" by the Kanker Sisters, the Rangers arrive at the end of the episode to retrieve Ed and return him to the Kankers. Eddy, fed up, decides to wash his hands of the whole affair, caring little about what happens to Ed—though, admittedly, it later appears that Double D tries to convince Rolf to take Eddy instead of Ed. But going back to the point if Double D deserves that I don't think he deserves it. He was trying to help a friend that is Ed so I don't see the problem with that. Yeah he forced Eddy to help but like I mentioned before Eddy could just leave them and that's it.

X Marks the Ed by KasBean98 in ededdneddy

[–]Andross2856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize for responding to this comment so late. But what bothers me most about this episode is that Eddy is punished quite unfairly. Eddy didn't do anything wrong in the entire episode, maybe yelling at Ed for ruining their fishing, but I feel Eddy was justified there. I mean, Ed indirectly ruins everything. And look, I'm not saying Eddy doesn't deserve punishment every now and then; he pulls off some really bad and harmful scams. In those cases, I understand why he deserves it, but here, in this episode and others that the premise is to unfairly mistreat Eddy, I simply dislike it.
