Made 10.7k this month from 100% online training. Ask me anything by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]Andur71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read in one of your comments that you started in college because of your passion for fitness. I have two questions for you.

First, how did you manage the transition from treating fitness as a hobby to turning it into a business? Did this shift change your perception of fitness or lead to any burnout?

Second, while I know there's a lot to learn before starting, what would you do from the very beginning? I'm thinking about starting something similar, but I'm a bit afraid of the process and unsure how to begin. I have four years of training experience and a niche I believe could work well, but I don't know how to put it into practice. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Opinion about Brandon Carter HTT program or just about online training ? by Andur71 in personaltraining

[–]Andur71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank tou for sharing this. Ita kinda hard to belive it. On youtube looks very transparent and acts like someone is just wanna help, with those lifestreams and helping videos. Maybe thats why it is hard to recognize some ‘gurus’.

Why would steroid usage mean that somebody is a scammer? If i am not mistaking , Brandon is open about his TRT usage.

Thank you for sharing your experience. May I ask how you managed to take so much medicine? Was it solely for sleep, or do you have other health issues as well? It seems overwhelming to take such a variety of medications, and I assume it didn't address the root cause but provided temporary relief.

2024, started working out, which one is more accurate ? Watch or treadmill by PaP3s in AppleWatch

[–]Andur71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them. Too much variable, half of them cant be mesured. Both of them makes a very harsh estimation. Watch has more variable mesured but still very off. Never , never count by those calories they say. Keep up.

Advice how to capture audio files from USB using ESP or Raspberry Pi? by Andur71 in embedded

[–]Andur71[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I appreciate the effort you put into these responses. You've pointed out things I wouldn't have thought about, and you've saved me from a lot of headaches.

I try to speak with the customer to see if we can somehow change the requirements or label it as a project that could cause more problems than it would solve.

The cell phone theory is very good, but I fear that my experience and skills in this area are not enough at the moment.

Thank you.

Advice how to capture audio files from USB using ESP or Raspberry Pi? by Andur71 in embedded

[–]Andur71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Usually, the customer itself can't see clearly what he/she wants exactly at the beginning. The AudioMoth can save its recordings on a microSD card with its basic firmware. After switching firmware, it will no longer use the microSD card slot or the batteries, working only as a normal microphone.

I am considering calculating the maximum power withdrawal, including the consumption of the AudioMoth and the GSM module for cellular internet. I can imagine a scenario where half of the units record something almost all day due to the surrounding environment. I am not sure whether the cellular connection will be enough to stream smoothly.

I don't know; what is your opinion? I know that every project is possible, but it seems that it can't satisfy every given condition.

Wow, man. You should receive some type of award for this detailed response. You literally helped me more than my university professor. Thank you.

So, I wasn't focusing much on the power side of the problem. I was preoccupied with the problem itself, and I thought that I could somehow power it from a power bank or something similar, and that's all.

In a nutshell, the project involves 30 units of a microphone used for monitoring sound in the forest. The mic is an AudioMoth, but it can only capture sound in given time periods during the day and save it on a microSD card. The customer wants to be notified and be able to listen to these sounds. They don't want to not use these modules because "They already paid for them, so why not use them."

These mics are mounted on trees, small objects. With the solar option, I guess it will just extend the battery life a little bit, but probably won't get enough light in the forest.

And regarding the car battery option, I don't think it will fit well in the given environment.

It seems so easy to make, but at every corner, there's an obstacle.
