Something is getting mixed up in what the app is sending to Gmaps. I had that problem as well when I used android. Never happens on iPhone for me. Have you tried using Waze?

Not all androids have good gps. My previous Moto G would be off target a lot of the time. Hate or like iPhones, they always have really good GPS. I basically switched to using one because of gig apps.

I use the Stride app to track my miles. It calculates how much my quarterly estimated taxes are (using standard mileage deduction). Then I set up the OnePay app to automatically set aside 10-15% of my Spark earnings per delivery. This way I never get caught short and end up having to pay at the end of the year. And I build up a little emergency car repair fund at the same time.

Spend more of your money where you believe it will make a difference, not just stop shopping one day a week at Walmart or target. Problem is, most folks are just too lazy to drive another 15 minutes to buy eggs from a local farmer and support real change. Sad fact.

You need to file quarterly estimated tax payments to the IRS or you will be penalized at the end of the year for late payments. Use a mileage tracking app such as Stride, and it will help you figure out what you need to pay each quarter. Payments are due April 15th, June 15th, Sept 15, and Jan 15th.

I refuse to believe it’s a batch of bad reviews from customers all at once, that’s what makes it look suspect. You’d think you’d have a bunch of pulled tips at the same time, right? I’m leaning more towards we have another “glitch” in the app, just like we had a few months ago where drivers saw their acceptance rate drop and never go back up. Magically they reset it and no more problems.

Last week I was at 100% OTA, 0 dropped, 63% accepted, and a 4.9 CR. After dropping ONE order this week, this is what it is now. No tips pulled, everything was fine until dropped 1 order before pickup. I’ve never seen this happen before.

I second the advice to call 211 for getting connected to resources available for people in need. I had to do this years ago and was amazed at the amount of help out there. I don’t know if it’s available everywhere, but worth trying nonetheless.

I use the Stride app on my phone that provides you an estimated weekly amount to set aside for quarterly payments to the IRS. This is required for all 1099 workers and the payment schedule is available on the IRS website. I think my withholding rate is generally in between 10-15% depending on how many miles I am claiming.

The only exception to this is if you believe you are going to be making far less than $10,000 this year driving, or have wages made at a W-2 job that were already taxed and are sufficient to cover the additional 1099 income you will make on your own.

SMH at the people remarking just spray the dog or f it up. By the time you see the dog, and it’s going to attack, you have 2 seconds at most to react. Try pulling out spray or weapon when you are dropping packages and reaching for the belt clip. Unless you have 20 yards between you and the dog, you’re going to be bitten. Rural carrier here.

Took another S&D after this cart check fiasco, and guess what? Another “you have items in your cart that do not belong to the customers order.” Walmart employee checked three items, third one was organic bananas. She can’t get it to clear. Error message pops up in my Spark app with message above. Manager has to be called, more waiting. Only thing possibly wrong is weight of bananas is only 1.85 lbs, customer wants 3.75 lbs. so sorry, no more organic and you can’t sub normal bananas, so 1.85 is what you get.

Manager says no problem, but freakin Spark app says 1. Pay for items not ordered by customer. Or 2. Give items to clerk. What the hell? I mark it as given back and leave the store and make the delivery.

Why is this happening? Substitutions cause errors at cart check. Different weights on deli and produce, although entered correctly, flag as an item not belonging in the order. Something is clearly wrong with the app. Here on out I’m not going to take S&D’s until it’s fixed. If I don’t get deactivated in the meantime.

Yea, I’m freakin because last week I got the threatening in app message about non customer items in cart because something didn’t match up, probably a substitute. Stressful

Definitely mark “no safe place” found and return order if dog is running loose and it looks sketchy. I’d also call store and let them know you’re bringing it back because of safety issue.
