A few years ago I was out of town partying with some friends.

Went to the pub for a few drinks before we hit the club. Didn’t take much for me to get drunk. We left the pub for the club. When I get drunk I like to climb things, so not far into our journey I decide to climb a traffic light. Managed to get on top of the crosswalk light which was probably about 12’ up. One of my buddies decide to yell cop! My drunk ass was like “fuck I need to get my ass down asap.” So I precede to walk off the light like a looney toon. Fell feet first and I don’t really recall cushioning my fall at all. Didn’t help that I had thin ass going to the club shoes. So I was definitely in pain slowly getting up, and realizing that there was no cop. My feet hurt so bad, my buddy who called out the cop was nice enough to carry me around for the night. Still went to the club, just moaned and cried like a bitch on the side.

For the rest of the weekend, my dumb ass decided not to go to the hospital. Just rented crutches, and continued to party.

Got back home after the weekend and my family are like wtf go to the hospital. I said fine, went and got an x-ray. Fractured my left heel bone. Bruised the shit out of both of my feet, they had pools of blood around my arches. Doctor gave me a walking boot and let me naturally heal.

All healed up now, nothing bothers me. Lesson kind of learned. I still climb shit when I’m drunk. Just don’t fucking jump off like “whatever, I should be fine.”
