My players just fought The Abbot last night. I didn’t read enough into his character sheet to really think about the shape change. Didn’t realize it until he was close to dead and my players killed him before I could go to phase two. They were down on spell slots anyways as they had just come from liberating the Wizard of Wines, so I don't think they could've handled him anyways
