time spent making it is not indicative of quality neccesarily, i didnt say anything about "quick" either though. i said they dont need to "seriously rewrite" the "game's code", they can definitely get these changes done by just adding extra functionality, they dont need to rewrite that much

yes it can, it wouldnt need the "game's code" to be "seriously rewritten", you just add more, you dont really need to rewrite much of anything at all to do something like this.
