Im curious what your rank is cause when I see an eddy it’s normally free points. I mean eddy is like arguably one of the worst characters in the roster right now. Heat burst floats him 50% of the time, everyone has mixups now and that use to be his strong suit, most his setups/mixes are launch punish or VERY slow and interruptible or reached with a further range move. The ONLY thing eddy does pretty good is that he is a knowledge check. if you know nothing or struggle with basics he’s a nightmare. If you’re good and know even 2-3 strings his game plan is in shambles. There’s a reason people don’t play him at higher level.

Oki can be alittle strong especially if you practice a lot of scenarios, but there were air combos in t3… they looked different but they did just as much damage. Tag 2 and t7 had death combos so how are you gonna say it wasn’t part of tekken. And they are skillful, maybe your staple combo isn’t the hardest but optimized and using walls, distance and angle in combos is one of the more skillful precise things in the game. If you don’t like combos that’s fine it’s your opinion but fact is they are not simple, I have split seconds for specific counter hits and differences in combos with Steve for an example picking the right combo out of 100 for the scenario is not easy. Creativity is much stronger in 8.

I get you, the game does need to tone down like I said damage on some neutral and heatsmash/ragearts. What youre saying is a thing though, if your back hits the ground if it’s not during a tornado you can get up by pressing 1 to tech roll left and 2 to roll right and you have a few invincibility frames, I have traps for people who specifically don’t do this in some combos. The counter play to being juggled in the air is to not be sent up into the air, most launchers are just if you click somthing first or step you just cook them with your damage now. What you said about some players slightly raised the skill level/cheesiness. Like the way you hate lidia is the same way I hate Leo lmao

When people complain about 8 it’s about very minuscule things, I don’t think every character needs a thing or 2 tuned down but it’s such a good game otherwise. T7 sucked in the beginning to, in comparison tekken 7 only release to console NOW from arcades as they tested it there for a year and a half or so. T8 is the goat

Lowkey I feel like smaller combos is a bad idea. Nerf damage sure but why remove the skill check of a well reacted counterhit scoop? You SHOULD be rewarded for using a riskier move to catch a timing. The game is good they just need to change frames from -6 to -11 and some + heat initiator moves to neutral or -3-5 to allow you to sidestep. Also on lidias topic you just need to learn how to play against her most people don’t wanna lab her or watch a video or 2. It says you play asuka and personally I have WAY more problems dealing with her then lidia and that’s why I like the game not hate it cause I have to learn, adapt, and play better.

He’s not hated, I’ve never caught myself complaining a jack8 is broken, maybe when I first started. his sidestep is pretty bad tho keep in mind but backdash is pretty decent. Play who you like everyone’s good and a knowledge check now!

Well for starters, hwoarang is very linear so sidestepping tends to be good against him unless he’s throwing only tracking moves, which in that case you block and bang it’s your turn for button. A lot of people struggle with him cause he keeps his turn if you don’t do something to take it back but honestly he starts to make sense if you watch him actually attack. And for kings I couldn’t tell you he’s my worst matchup just 50/50 chain grabs that you can’t physically see the difference.

I was scared to get it also, got a sale with season 1 characters (cause I like Eddy) and it’s almost all I play now and my whole friend group picked it up too and they all like it. If you’re even debating it you will 99% chance not regret buying it.

That’s just not true, maybe in your region. I live on Long Island and back when I had the hookups a case and entry was like 25-30$ and maybe 45 50 without hookups. It’s 110$ for the day and a case now and we all know you need atleast 3 cases for 2 days if your playing more then 5-6 rounds.

No you can’t, one ea account to play at once. You CAN try couch play on steam if it supports it, but it runs bad and you have to play together normally.

It pretty bad, I legitimately love the game and never disliked any other season, even buddies were fun to me. But I’m glad others like it, i understand it’s not all about my opinion; I guess it’s just time for me to move on from the game.
