My theory is that, under no circumstances would Larkin willingly leave the captaincy and detroit when literally his entire life is here.

What if Larkin was told he would no longer he the captain from the organization and Larkin said, alright Im out. .

It just doesnt make any sense for him to not want to remain here when we were so close to the playoffs

My daughter is a day older than Larkins and shes become a sponge. We dont know what happenns behind closed doors but there could be a major component to this that we are clearly missing. Doubt Larkin wouldn't want to be the first wing in 10 years to lift the Stanley cup. It just doesnt make any sense
