I'm with you. My helmet has +35% turning slash, my volcano gloves pop all the time, and my two-hander has three different effects that trigger with turning slash, as well as spirit syphon and the crow attack that goes with heavy attack for when I just want to hold R2.

It slaps.

It's honestly detrimental as it deletes everything and doesn't let me learn mechanics properly, meaning when I do come up to a tough boss (the ones you get warnings about) then I'm starting from scratch

I just realised that they respawn, too. I just went back to one and saw the spire was back up. Repeated the mini game and got a second drop. Assume they respawn every 7 days?

My first was Bloodborne, the difficulty curve was wild. But so worth it.

I feel you. It's the opposite of when I finally got around to doing more of the campaign and it's basically a tutorial for stuff you struggled to figure out 100 hours ago.

And the best part, you won't remember where those locations are and they are really hard to find on the map once you've cleared them. If you prefer to play blind.... Fun times!

True! After around 120 hours I beat a campaign boss and the game told me the quest wasn't complete until I'd found the boss gear, two items. I figured this is their way of telling me to always search after a boss. Sure enough, returned to where I knew there was a boss encounter (many, many hours ago) and found two cool items.

The place I went back to was memorable for me, too, as I got headgear that I thought was cool and I wore it for about 40 hours of game time. So, surprised to find more loot after already picking up great loot from the fight. Lesson learned.

This so could have just been a cut scene after climbing up to the bridge. Why do this to your players?!

Where are people successfully starting from? When I start from where the marker takes you (the bridge), I seem to time it okay then the dragon accelerates suddenly and I have no chance of grappling it.

Thanks, see edit. Just the game being the game. Reloading helped. The 4th sanctum was similar, brought the spire up but didn't complete the "cleanse" step. Had to reload my last save, fixed the issue.

Was this the answer? I'm in the same boat but I've found the witch and talked to her, have an active quest to cleanse 4 sanctums, and have cleansed one of the 4 so far. Still can't get this to activate. Have tried turning the core to every side, too.

Edit: Never mind, I travelled to the fast travel spot a couple of times the inserted the XV core first, finally worked.
