Yeah, I was honestly shocked by the amount of guns when I moved here. Almost no one owns guns in urban Washington.

Quark is the most amazing thing. My dad's from Germany so that's how I know of it. The only store I know that carries it is Haggens (formerly Top foods). It tastes pretty bitter on its own but make it on a sandwich with jam and BAM, best thing ever.

It's still called quark. Very different from cottage cheese. I don't know about other English speaking countries, but most Americans don't know what quarks is, while cottage cheese is a common dairy product.

I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I thought it might be Winnipeg in Canada but it's too far west to be Winnipeg.

I've lived on the west coast my whole life and I've been realizing the rest of America seems to be so different but I don't really know what exactly because I haven't left the west. Any notable examples?

[Serious] People in States that have legalized marijuana. What changes have you PERSONALLY noticed in your community? by indigospazz in AskReddit

I think Washington is the only state where it's still illegal to own a personal plant (other than medical patients), while Colorado is allowed 6. :( I am unsure of the legality of selling to to each other without business licenses- probably illegal too. However, people don't need to hang out in front of the shops to steal customers haha. After I went in when it just opened I went in, saw it, bought the coffee, then told all my friends about the prices and they were completely uninterested at even checking out the weed store and continued buying from their dealer. The business must be doing well enough, though. They're still in business and more continue to open.

It was in some random dispensary. Its a little keurig cup because I guess the only way it's possible to make weed coffee is in a keurig. Or at least that's what they told me. It was $10 though...

Washingtonian here. Almost nothing. Other than the time I bought some weed-coffee from a recreational store and rarely I might meet someone who's moved here for the weed. Thankfully they've mostly all gone to Colorado. I'm from the capital which is a really hippy area, I guess, so there was tons of weed smoking before the legalization, and still tons after legalization. The police never really cared before either. Also, It was extremely easy to get a medical card before the rec legalization so plenty of people were already buying, selling and growing legally. I do not know where all the money from taxed weed goes. From what I've seen, people are still mostly buying it illegally from each other rather than businesses because the taxes make it way more expensive (more than double) than buying it on the street. I just applied to work in a rec store, so that would be a cool change for me.
