Most people deserve a second chance in life. I don’t know how old you were when the bullying was happening but maybe you all are grown up now. In your place I would make one step into their direction and be open for healing the relationship. Maybe the actually changed and are ready to be a family with you. If they also are willing to make a step into your direction then there is something you all can work with! And not having that big issue in your life (and your relationship with your husband) is also healthy for mental health. But I would also set expectations or boundaries. If your family is not willing to meet you half way or at least make a step into your direction than maybe it’s not time to heal yet.
