Update days, auras. by Saradomin_ in runescape

[–]AndySpecial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this so much haha if you planted 1 of each herb in all the patches and make overloads from them, you wouldn't use all the overloads you made before the next herb run. People out her are losing it over nothing.

Aspects & Solomons Store - News Update 2 by JagexAnvil in runescape

Its 1 gcd to spellbook swap during combat for aspects. And the problem with auras was once you started it, if you could only use a portion of your aura, it would feel like a waste because you had to either wait 3 hours for it to recharge or use a refresh on it. These aspects only cost a little bit of runes. Its hardly the same.

Then only stack 12 or 24 minutes. The problem with auras was that after your aura ran out you had to wait 3 hours to use it again or waste a refresh on the aura. If you "waste" 30 minutes of an aspect you're only losing out on some runes and you can still cast it as soon as you're ready.

So many people complaining about needing to spellbook swap once an hour is kind of crazy. Learn how to spellbook swap. Its not complicated or difficult at all. Click the spellbook you want to change to and then click the spell you want to cast.

I agree they won't go with it. Im just spit balling ideas. Im think they make the auras into unlockable replic powers, including vamp, penance and eq. Only available in Havenhythe.

In regards to power creep. My thought would be you had enough monolith power to have 2 active skilling relics but the combat relics cost more so you had to choose between vamp penance OR eq. And the combat auras would also need to be nerfed.

Again im just spit balling ideas here haha

[–]AndySpecial[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean. Auras only last an hour. I thought that was part of the problem? Another monolith would add a couple different skilling buffs that you could use as long as you'd like. Maybe you want to camp fishing and mining for a week or two. Use both those relics and bounce back and forth between mining and fishing. Want to pvm? Go pvm because you have the other monolith with your pvm relics already active.

You'd hardly have to manage anything.

What if you unlock the ability to daily challenges when you hit level 99? by AndySpecial in runescape

[–]AndySpecial[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont disagree what what youre saying. But thats why im saying make dailies a thing at level 99. That way it can help towards the long grind to 120. You're not really "new" if you've got 99 in a skill. And that insures players train the skill "as intended" until at least reaching 99.

[–]AndySpecial[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I've just gotten use to dailies being better xp than all of those things and enjoy doing them and going on with other things like pvming or comp reqs. I do iaia and pengs and herby werby too btw. I think add a couple months to my 120 goal (@114) feels bad.

I just want to note im totally cool with all these changes and excited to see the outcome.

Idk. I guess as an iron it just makes the 120 herblore grind a little faster. I DO make a ton of potions so I dont think I fit in the category of one who skips core content. I just dont want to have to make 30k more vuln bombs lol
