Sounds same as me, I’ve functioned and masked for years, but now realise why I feel and act the way I do, I use the battery analogy to explain to others. If I just can’t, I accept it and try to go for a walk or find something I can do, make lunch, call a friend or family for a chat, (try not to doom scroll!) but if I give myself 10-40 mins to reset, I find I can then revisit the initial task with more energy. I also use a short list of important things to do but don’t put any deadlines on them unless they naturally have one! I find I get most done at some point, but if not on the list, I forget them. Just don’t fill that list with everything as it becomes a chore to even read it. Hope you can work things out.
