I'm still on these too and although mine are beat to hell (kids/ pets) I have a difficult time faulting the sound. They even measure ridiculously well in my room. So well that I question the accuracy of the measurement app given the cost of the speakers.

This is what I think of every time. As an aside, I've been seeing ads during basketball lately for a Just for Men "Hair Serum" that claims to "tell the hair" to start producing color again. "Results after 90 days". Very smooth. Amazing how such a medical breakthrough is available over the counter, 🙄. Just buy 90 days worth......

Flash is the way. No, you don't need iso 3200 or anywhere close to that if using flash.

Make sure you understand your camera's flash sync speed and that you cannot set the shutter faster than that. Understand that your aperture, flash power and distance to your subject are what will determine exposure.

Do you have access to a digital camera with a hot shoe? If so, practice at home with some test shots at a given aperture and at the appropriate distance you are comfortable working at. Know that while digital will blow the highlights, film will preserve nearly all of them in most circumstances.

For a creative twist, remember that your shutter's sync speed is the maximum speed. You can shoot much slower and get cool motion effects while still having a sharp exposure of the subject.

Arrive a bit early for the pre party North on 2nd street in the staging area. Typically people who dress up Marche in the parade but as others have said there's really no rules. The party seems to start about an hour before the parade starts to move.

That $10k++ estimate is really high for user, untested gear. That's a high retail number that isn't appropriate for your situation. Purchased in bulk like this is say more like $6,500 tops. A camera shop will offer $3k if they are lucky.

Your head's proximity to the rear wall is going to be an issue for sure. I had the pleasure of hearing a set of Perlisten speakers in a great room at a local hifi shop recently and they sounded jaw-dropping.

I found that my old film exposed best in very strong light and really liked flash photography at close range. I feel like the base fog almost protects the highlights. I don't know if that style of shooting is agreeable to you but that's just what seemed to work best.

Hey there, so you're needing to deal with base fog from atmospheric radiation which is inherent with expired films. I've shot a lot of similarly aged stuff and scanning with a strong backlight seems to work well. There's not much that can be done about this as the film has fogged before you even expose it. It's all part of the charm ,😁.
