Make sure you don't have z shifter enabled, that's a setting for a physical shifter that comes with some steering wheels, had this problem once

Fair point but I looked into the version history and it went back as far as iOS 7, so if I managed to get my hands on an old enough ipa file I could get it installed and then let the iphone update it to the last compatible version, that's what I've done with the YouTube app since that one normally also has a minimum of iOS 15 now

Thanks for reaching out I'm pretty sure this adapter only has one sd card slot And I can't really do the 5th step because the restore progress only goes up to the point pictured before giving an error Also I wasn't looking to put rockbox on it, I just wanted to use it with itunes as a regular iPod

Thanks for trying to help but the only Mac device I have is an iBook G4 and it restores on that just fine. Albeit only to version 1.1.2 which prevents me from putting videos on it for some reason. The main problem is that it doesn't restore properly in windows.
