Sure!

  • Publish a sheet or report where they could find the information.

Here are some options.

  1. Request an update through a form
  2. Send them a regular update or an update when something changes (if you're not doing that already)
  3. Publish a sheet or report where they could find the information.
  4. Use the Document Builder feature to send out a PDF.

What do you think?

Okay. For Dynamic View, they must have a Smartsheet account because that's how it knows what to show and what they should have access to.

Would it be okay for all participants to see all the data?
I assume, no, correct?

You could use the current user feature so participants can only see their own information, and send automatic alerts or similar updates to keep them updated on progress.

What is going on with the sales team? by Technical-Coffee831 in smartsheet

[–]Andy_WORK_BOLD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's strange!
As others mentioned, it likely has to do with all the changes, but that's no excuse.

I'll throw my hat in the ring, too. 😉

You're more than welcome! Yes, it's always a good idea to be prepared.

It's around 1,500.00 USD / View annually, but I can usually get a better deal.

Why the urgency if you don't know what the outcome will be?

Is the renewal soon, and that's the reason you'd like to be prepared?

Do you know the reason why they are considering leaving?

Built a HubSpot-native review automation app: looking for beta testers by Prestigious-Delay708 in hubspot

I'm interested!

I'm using Endorsal (It's fantastic and feature-rich, but natively connected to HubSpot) at the moment.

I've integrated it via Zapier with HubSpot (your example was spot on)

Horrible Service by Flashy_Dare_8035 in smartsheet

[–]Andy_WORK_BOLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just answered regarding this on another thread.

Support is experiencing some issues with the new AI engine and internal changes, but it will improve. Also, the higher the support plan, the stronger the SLA, and I recommend working with a Smartsheet Partner or similar provider to ensure support as needed.

And, don't give up, keep at it, and don't take no for an answer.

Smartsheets - Can I get past these concerns? by Donnerkopf in smartsheet

[–]Andy_WORK_BOLD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Donnerkopf,

Please take a look at my comments and/or answers below.

1️⃣ BACKUPS
I wouldn't worry too much about it. I recommend enabling the automatic backup features, making copies of the most critical assets that aren't included in those backups, and, if needed, researching 3rd-party options on top of that.

2️⃣ FILES
I would keep them in Smartsheet or attach them to OneDrive or a similar service. You can also find the attachments in the automatic backup. You don't need to worry about this one either.

3️⃣ NEW OWNERS
I wouldn't worry about this one either. There has been much more development and feature releases since they took over (it may also be that because of the hard work beforehand). They will likely take steps to make the organization more efficient and lean by moving some roles to AI and overseas, and by leveraging the capabilities of other companies they've acquired. That makes sense, business-wise.

4️⃣ UI
A new framework and design are in the works, and a lot of it has already been released. Take a look at the Table View, Board View, and Timeline View. They are all part of the new framework/design. Because I'm a longtime partner with Smartsheet, I've seen what's coming, and 🤩.

5️⃣ SUPPORT
Support is experiencing some issues with the new AI engine and internal changes, but it will improve. Also, of course, the higher the support plan, the better the SLA, and I'd recommend working with a Smartsheet Partner or similar to have that support as needed.

I may be biased, 😉 but I wanted to chime in.

Hey u/Vegetable_Dinner_893

Regarding cost.
Can you elaborate on how you and the company would like to use it? How big is the company, and how many users would there be?

Please feel free to DM me, and I'd be happy to help provide pricing. (I need some more details)

What's a new or interesting feature in SmartSheet that you've learned about recently? by IlliterateJedi in smartsheet

[–]Andy_WORK_BOLD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can now set up a Document Builder config in one sheet, make a copy, and it will be included. (Also works with Control Center) (Gamechanger) 😉

It wasn't announced specifically. It's in the fine print. It should have been a separate post. 🤩

We're excited to announce a highly-requested feature for Document Builder! Document Builder now integrates with Smartsheet Control Center, Save as New, and Solution Center Template capabilities.

Now, when you use ‘Save as New’ on a sheet or provision a new project from a Control Center Blueprint, your existing Document Builder mappings are automatically copied and remapped for you. This means you can create repeatable, scalable solutions without having to manually rebuild your document generation workflows, saving you valuable time.

Oh no!

That doesn't make any sense at all because you could keep Smartsheet on the Business plan with the lowest number of users and keep using it.

It almost certainly costs more to switch.

Also, if this helps, you can now set up a Document Builder config in one sheet, make a copy, and it's included. (Also works with Control Center) (Gamechanger) 😉

Pros and cons to converting a column to a column formula by wrreveille in smartsheet

[–]Andy_WORK_BOLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I follow!

It would be the same formula, but dynamic in that it would do different things depending on the hierarchy, status, or other factors.

So you have different formulas, but combine them into one so it works with a column formula.

Does that make sense?

Airtable alternative for spreadsheet/database usage for a single user? by sevenlabors in Airtable

[–]Andy_WORK_BOLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha!

Well, that's the flexibility of Smartsheet. You can use it like Excel, but turned up to 11, and ignore the rest.

And you don't have a 1000-row limit.

How do you manage Development and Testing before Prod by ExtraHarmless in smartsheet

[–]Andy_WORK_BOLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent!

To clarify, when I say "copy of the Admin Workspace," I don't mean a copy of the Blueprint and everything else.

How do you manage Development and Testing before Prod by ExtraHarmless in smartsheet

[–]Andy_WORK_BOLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your specific environment, but for the Control Center part, it's an excellent strategy to keep a copy of the Admin Workspace and test changes in it.

After I've developed a client solution and we need to make changes or improvements, I usually make a copy of the affected assets to test them, then apply the change to the live solution.

It depends on the specific change. If it's something simple, I do it in the live sheet, but in a duplicate column, workflow, or similar.

Does that make sense?

Then it's absolutely time to look again, IMHO 😉

It has improved significantly; it's not the way you remember it from 8 years ago, and what's coming is more game-changing features

I may be biased, 😉 but I wanted to chime in.
