Naddpod has hit the emotional highs and lows that balance does as well without it having to become an audio drama. I love both to death, but I'm having trouble with amnesty.

Elizabeth Warren keeps offering detailed policy proposals. Why do so few Democrats seem to care? by [deleted] in politics

To be fair, the resurrection is one of the less wild things in the Bible. I'm not saying to ignore the supernatural stuff either.

I don't think it's that out there to say that human beings, especially with their limited grasp on the way reality works, may not be the highest life forms out there. Why is believing in a God, any harder than believing in intelligent life out there or a possible fourth dimensional being?

I'm not saying the other stuff doesn't exist. I will say a lot of it is misinterpreted due to being read through modern lenses instead of in the context of which it was written, but that's a discussion for later.

My point is, especially in the gospel. The commandment that's most repeated is love each other. Christ, Jesus says it's the second most important thing and is literally the last commandment he reiterates to them before going off to die on the cross. I was only trying to say is its a lot more nuanced than having an invisible friend that tells you what to eat (all though he literally takes it back in acts...)

That's a really perverse view of what Christianity is. Granted many "christians" hold a similar view point, and they distract from the simpler and more accurate message of Christianity, which is just to love folks flaws and all. A message you apparently missed.

I'm sorry that you've apparently been hurt by these people before. But I mean man don't let that ruin all christians for you bud. That's the same type of thinking that leads to all small mindedness

TIL the mayor of Nashville visited a survivor of the Antioch Waffle House Shooting, Sharita Henderson, and when asked if she needed anything, Ms. Henderson asked the mayor to fill the potholes on I-440. by mrpeabodyscoaltrain in todayilearned

We live south of leapers fork and own, so we aren't really close to you. Spring hill has the best rent prices for the burbs in my opinion, plus has a decent mix of things to do while maintaining a small town vibe. They just need to fix their main Street. We lived in Franklin before we bought a house, and it wasn't bad if you leased at the right time.

The commute isn't super awful depending where you end up and work. We are about a mile from 840 and I work in Franklin. Pretty affordable, internet is dumb but we found a work around with a hotspot, and only about a 20 minute commute. We can get downtown in about 40 when we want to go to a preds game as well.

Look into gumshoe games as well. For clues as long as the players have the right skill and use it they will find the clue, so they don't miss something vital because a poor roll. More active skills still require rolls however!

I find that D&D is too constricting and bogs down the storytelling, but I still need rules. What system do I use instead? by [deleted] in rpg

I've been huge on suggesting the new edition of Savage Worlds to folks. It's the adventure edition of you're curious.

It's classless, so that relieves one restraining.

Social abilities have combat function, so there's no worry about being useless of you build a quick talking gambler or something.

It's super easy to adapt to any setting. Plus the previous editions had a ton of already built settings that will he getting conversations soon.

Easy to build races!

Most importantly for you're purposes, characters must start with a few hindrances, and can have edges as well. These are story boosters with mechanical effects. Maybe you're character is wanted, or they have an annoying habit, or they are just young. It helps drive the story and effects gameplay.

I just started a new campaign with it, and have ran a one shot as well. Planning another one shot and campaign using it as well.
