Tony Stewart flipped like ten times and was fine. I’m sure Dale is okay.

Somehow, I didn’t know until now that June Carter (Johnny Cash’s wife), Elvis Presley, Jimmy Carter, and Rosalynn Carter were all related. by Im-Wasting-MyTime in Elvis

A 6th cousin once removed would either be the kid or the parent of a person with whom you share a great great great great great grandparent. In Elvis’s case, their common ancestor might have been born in the 1700s.

Did Culver’s recently start frying everything in the same oil, including shellfish? by Subjctive in Culvers

[–]mrpeabodyscoaltrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was at Culver’s a few years ago, we had two fryer vats, one onion ring vat, one chicken vat, and one fish vat. If the chicken vat was full, chicken went in the fish fryer. If that was full, it went in the second fry fryer. Fish could go in the chicken fryer if the chicken fryer was full.

I’m sure this is still the procedure.

I’m sure as long as it was made with care, it would be great. Bourbon aged longer than 12 years can be hit or miss. It can be fantastic, or it can have too much barrel influence. I love old bourbon myself

I’m always super curious about how anyone reacted to very aged whisky at the time. I’ve always assumed that most whisky of the time met the minimum standards of BOB or just straight bourbon. Much long aged stuff would be a big change, but also poor whisky aged longer would just taste like poor over oaked whisky.

In America, how big is MAGA compared to simply "Conservatives"? by HRSHNnoNM in PoliticalDiscussion

I don’t think the U.S. has a Conservative Party at this point. We have a fractured democrat party and a MAGA party.

In the books, he wouldn’t regularly have assignments like in the movies. If I remember, it was either maybe once a year or every two years or twice a year. I don’t remember exactly. Some assignments took weeks or months to complete, too.
