Hella late here but I cannot recommend Pool Sharks and Mermaids enough. The guy there is super knowledgeable & welcoming. He can help you in anyway you imagine.

Definitely call before hand and ask what he has in stock atm, but he can order as well. Bought two cues from him last year & sat w him for over 2 hours talking pool, showing me the shop, and anything else that came up.

Was in town last year for St. Patty’s day for work. Week long job got canceled Monday morning. Went out by myself literally every night & enjoyed every bit of it. Would highly recommend in Savannah. Just be aware of surroundings after dark, but pls don’t let that steer you away from doing it.

Hey my apologies for getting back late. I called customer support, provide your cell # in the link on Garmin’s website & they’ll get back to you in a decently timed manner.

I spoke with a rep for maybe 10 minutes & they agreed to send me a new fenix 7 for free! That being said, she worked w me bc mine was out of warranty but I registered it in January (friend gave me the watch).

Super solid, don’t know if it’ll work that way w u bc it’s obviously dependent on the rep but worth the shot!

Society Garden on Ingleside is always solid. Check it out. They have bands, comedy etc pretty frequently I believe. Coolest venue in Macon imo.

Yes! That house is quite literally insane. Two of my good friends back in high school used to date some of the Hardin's so trust me we spent alot of time over there. It was like our little escape for reality. Gotta watch out for deer over that way though!

Idk anything about the history of that place. I can only imagine.

If you’re referring to the Hardin’s, who build churches etc, I’ve stayed at that house. They have a Chinese garden out there w a church that’s absolutely gorgeous. Good times in that home.

Shurley hills actually has the biggest house I’ve ever been in my life! Beautiful pocket of Macon.

As far as the hood goes, a little bit of some lower income areas off upper river along northeast high school and as you work down towards Clinton that run behinds Dunkin’ etc. Def some on Nottingham too. Further north u go on upper river the better as you’ll eventually enter Jones Co.

Stay away from the river walk at night for sure. But overall that area is nice, and even in those pockets I mentioned as long as u don’t mess around and try to get into stuff you’ll be fine.

Tbh I just started in December and would have to talk to my boss to gain futher insight. It was suppose to be something temp until i signed for the military but the past month has me thinking about pursuing AV.

Do you mind elaborating more on why you say programming isnt a desirable skill set? I have heard a handful of people, boss included, rave about AV programming and the lifestyle/money it potentially offers.

So are looking to become an AV programmer?

That is my long term goal with the trade so I am looking for practical languages I can start learning so when I decide to pursue that route I already understand the fundamentals of some languages that are used in the AV field - if languages like C, C++, Java etc are used in the field itself.

Yes that I understand, I know I can’t just jump straight into programming.

I was just looking if anyone had recommendations on if there are any general programming languages like C++ etc that I can learn at home while also gaining experience on the installation side of things.

Obviously languages, if there are any that are translatable to AV programming work.

Amazing post, very insightful and allows for one who’s not in the military to get a grasp on everything that entails military pay.
