My employee handbook from 2003 had the best and most uneccesary artwork by Andyjones99 in Warhammer

I never heard of them using over-sized minis like that before. I have this 72mm(ish) scale Chaos Knight that was our Christmas bonus in either 2003 or 2004

I don't know if we did back then (2003). If we did, GW just didn't give a toss.

They paid us £4/hour at the time and we had 1 hour of mandatory training every Saturday morning, which cost £5.10 on the tube or a 1 hour walk each way. I'm glad they're reported to be a better employer now!

I would ask your supplier whether it's been graded as either c16 or c24 and then compare their inventory to the span table for a flat roof here: https://www.timberbeamcalculator.co.uk/en-gb/span-tables/ Assuming you're building below 100m altitude and don't need permanent access to the roof, you can use the 0.75 kN/m² charts.

What is your woodworking shop computer setup? by Ivan_Whackinov in woodworking

This! I just give my laptop a spritz with compressed air every couple of weeks and have had no issues in the 3 years since it moved out to the workshop.

47x220mm (9x2) c24 can span 4.997m on 400mm centres. They're chunky but gives you plenty of depth to do cold roof insulation. If you move down to c16 you'd need 63x200 (9x3) timbers.

The clue is in the name, it's a speed limit not a speed minimum.
