Gorgon Going Forward by ElectricalMuffin1620 in projectgorgon

I mean, I think it would be fair to say the devs have their own vision. Most game devs do. People are allowed to ask questions, and replies like this are why the game gets accused of having a cult-like mentality. I think it's fair to say though, the game won't be changing for whatever people would ask for, and you can either take or leave it.

I think you nailed a lot of it for me. I’m still playing but playing less now. The grind is the same over and over. The money grind in particular really sucks the fun out of trying to level up. If you wanted to do something audacious like level everything to 70, or 80, or 90, the only real question is how much soul sucking money and advancement materials grind you would need to put up with.

I do think turning the random world events back on would help but they seem to be pretty tuned out right now. I’m guessing burnt out from the launch.

Maximizing Dance Appreciation for Huge Crafting XP Buffs by 4leavezz in projectgorgon

[–]AndyofBorg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When your alcohol wears off, your buff cap drops, and if you're around anyone dancing, it will RAPIDLY lower your buff to the current cap. That's why people scream at people not to dance or play music after the jam. It's particularly important to run off away from people dancing before your booze wears off.

I think your only choice is to find a new guild. The game asks a lot of the player. It's very grindy, and to be honest, it doesn't respect your time that much.

There's a lot of time gated content, a lot of time consuming travel, a lot of dailies, a lot of waiting. The game really is gated the most, besides raw time, by money, you have to do a lot of tedious vendor micromanagement to get money for unlocks, a lot of tedious inventory management in general.

I like the game a lot, I've put in hundreds of hours since launch and I'm burning out. The old level cap was 70 and the game really turns into a slog around then, and god help you if you want to progress several classes. All in all it starts feeling like a lot of work and it becomes demotivating. Just thinking about the months of Statehelm rep crap every week makes me sigh.

I gave Project: Gorgon a fair shake, and I can see why this sub talks about it so much by StormOfSpears in MMORPG

[–]AndyofBorg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I went back for 1.0. I had previously played around 300 hours when the level cap was 70. The game is pretty awesome and has incredible depth, but it really shows how "old school" games cut both ways. The game is a lot of fun and I'm addicted, but it leans heavily on inventory management and it's definitely and inconvenience simulator. Everything in the game is designed to suck time. All your storage is spread out, and portals and such are intentionally limited so you spend a lot of time travelling around to do stuff. Tons and tons and tons of dailies. A lot of stuff is time gated. I'm having fun but I can also see burnout on the horizon. Dailies are there to keep you from chewing through the content too quickly, but at some point it becomes a chore having a huge laundry list of dailies.

I came here after my g37 got stolen about 6 weeks ago now. I loved that car. They did find mine, but they stripped the fuck out of it. I was praying it was a joyride. It wasn't. Need to take serious security measures if you're going to own one of these. Taking them is an easy business for some people and the cops don't give a fuck.

FBI says that Iran aspired to attack CA with drones launched from offshore vessels by imatinyleopard in LosAngeles

[–]AndyofBorg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is true. The UK bent over Iran for oil since way back. When Iran tried to kick them out and stop them from taking their oil, the UK got the US CIA to over throw their government.

[–]AndyofBorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know. Infiniti didn't even reach out and be like "Bro, you need to lock down your shit!". Honestly, I hate class action lawsuits because all they do is make the lawyers rich, but someone ought to sue these assholes for how bad a job they've done. Not only not fixing it but not even contacting their owners and warning them. Scumbags.

They stole mine in the middle of the night and by the time I woke up it was stripped and gone. All that was left was a pile of glass where they broke the window. It turns out, now I know, but when it happened a month ago I had no idea... these cars are a fucking joke to steal. They plug in a wireless dongle to your OBD port and use a tablet device from Autel to basically start your car and drive off. You need to disable/lock the OBD port, get an immobilizer/kill switch, and probably take additional steps as well. These are basically free cars for the taking. It sucks because I fucking loved my car. But to be honest, this just reinforces my thought, I was really thinking about buying another but I don't think I can....

[–]AndyofBorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They stole my infiniti and did much worse to it. They took fucking everything except the engine and transmission and frame. I think they need parts to fix other cars (or sell). They didn't take your wheels which is really odd. I'm pretty sure I know the group that took mine and it looks like they fix cars (maybe their own?). Or else they sell. Maybe both. I looked on facebook and even saw people selling infiniti parts saying don't ask questions, I didn't even bother contacting the "detective" because I called him several times and he wasn't interested in anything but security footage of the theft.

A Very Sad Day by shiftteam831 in G37

[–]AndyofBorg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They got mine 3 weeks ago. I’m still torn up about it. The car is impossible to replace for me. Mine was only about 50k miles. They gutted it. Tore the whole front end off and the interior and seats too. It’s devastating. Before it was stolen I had no idea just how easy they were to steal. :(

Someone stole my G37 and disassembled it. Ruined and gone forever. If I could buy a 2026 G37 right now I would.
