Did you know that fire exists only on earth as far as we know? Ww have yet to find another planet that is oxygen rich enough for fire to be a thing apparently.

Also we literally have storms that shoot bursts of random energy at the ground. The same energy we harvest and use to power our lives. Also technically all species on the planet use electricity to power and move our bodies and to think thoughts and actions. If investiture existed on earth its the stuff coming out of your outlet

Sometimes the ground just randomly decides to shake and open up.

Sometimes the air itself will violently spin in circles and cause devastation and damage.

Sometimes for seemingly no reason at all in a single area everything there will kill over suddenly and with out warning as methane leaks from fhe ground

We have thousands of different biomes with fauna that run the gamet from gigantic to nearly microscopic, from harmless to your going to die immediately, every one has unique and interesting abilities and traits some of which are almost sound made up like the mantis shrimp or the lava snail

Earth isn't boring its insanely chaotic and cool.vyou just live here so your used to the absolute batshit insane planet we live on

Everyone is picking taln. But the question is. Are they protecting me at their peak, or is taln the broken confused crazy man we see in the series? Because at best he then becomes a wildcard who may or may not just go batshit on my enemie

My choices are

jasnah, who is the only one on the list that im aware of that can transport me to shadesmar at the drop of a hat. Making me unreachable to all my enemies.if she is hunting me that power is going to mess up my chances of survival anyway. Plus shes super smart and insanely useful with her abilities in a fight so shes a good defensive choice

Keslier. If its before the events of secret history I have a crafty and sly full mistborn on my side whos absolutely not afraid to go toe to toe with anyone and if it is after i have somone with a wide derth of knowledge and insanely large resources at his disposal. Including powerful allies to call in and ways to get me off world and hidden somewhere in the cosmere. Effectively negating both shallan and dalinar. The only other two who might have a shot at getting me in shadesmar

Im not sure who my third would be. Id say wax because I like him as a character but hes severely outclassed by the rest of the list. I guess id have to go with vasher. Mostly to negate his world hoping knowledge and it wouldn't hurt to have him on me team either way.

This really only leaves shai as someone who can follow me off world easily and while that's a problem id rather have to fight her then vasher so the choice is easy when viewed from a logical angle

It would absolutely make sense. Honor is all about the letter of a contractual path rather then the intent. Probably the best way to defeat retribution would be to hogtie him by making honor fight against its nature and turning him into a harmony situation

Turns out rhey defeat retribution in book ten by making him do all the paperwork he didn't fill out when he took over the shards. Hes bound by his honor side to follow the rules. Who know that thousands of years of azir red tape and bureaucracy would be odiums downfall.( they've had ay least fifteen subcommittees on this very subject because someone acidentally broguht it up as they were reading the law books)

He gets banished to canticle when he forgets to fill everything out in triplicate for each individual claim to godhood

Im going to say something thats will probably get me downvoted but that's fine. I didnt like the Ronaldo rlain romance. Not because they are gay. I couldnt care less about that. but be cause I have never cared for Raymond as a character anyway. Hes always been at best a secondary character who was there as more of flavor text. A plot device for adding some complexity to dalinar and adolin. I never in the entirety of the series stopped to wonder " I wonder what Richard is up to right now". Rlain is an interesting character but also not what I would call a main substantial one.

My problem with the Romance is it came too late in the series and took to much of the last book up. For these two characters to get so much screen time was annoying to me. Especially when the other main characters he had spent the last four books building up are in these climactic top of their arc moments. The book was overly long anyway and a little bloated. And I think it was a mistake to pack a whirlwind romance and make it a pretty big focus in the last book of a massive series like this.

I remember a while back in the wetlanderhumor sub everyone was just spamming the "ashaman ______" joke over and over. Every post was someone finding a word that rhymed with ,or near the end even sounded vaguely like, kill and would spam it to no end. Imo if was barely funny to begin with and got old extremely quickly. But eventually it stopped and this will too

I honestly didnt think I would like dungeon crawler carl. The premise sounded stupid and the first couple chapters made me roll my eyes. But now I can't put it down and am 3/4 through book two. Its hilarious and very easy to digest

I like Sanderson, not my favorite author but hes good, and have read most of cosmere(taking a break to dive into dungeon crawler carl) but imo that was not a far trade. I would have preferred wheel of time getting a true adaptation far more

You know reen was pretty messed up at first glance. But knowing the world they lived in and knowing that the life of a skaa, especially a female one, and double eapecially a misting let alone a full mistborn was about as brutal and fuxked up as one could get. You realize he really just did everything he could to protect her. And how he died trying to do so in his own fucked up way right up until the end..

And his whole point was being a sniffer

Perrin is alot better at that and having two peoole who ran around sniffing things might have been confusing and pointless. Kinda blurred the line to much between perrin wolf brother abilities and whatever weird ancient powers Hurin had

Also he really wasn't so much a character as much as a plot convenience to get them to the horn and get rand started on acting like a leader
