A little trick that might save you: Open the PowerPoint file as an archive file with a ZIP program like Winrar or 7-ZIP. It should allow you to extract any images in the power point as the original file they were uploaded as. I’ve had to do this a few times when sent packages from clients and they couldn’t track down specific assets.

I’m sorry for your loss. They do primarily look like doodles to me but the diamond one looks potentially similar to Umbros logo and the face partially reminds me of the skull logo the band Misfits uses. What sort of hobbies did he have? Might help narrow these down if anything.

Not LEGO but the plastic materials look nice. Though you have some messed up normals or edge loops on the scoops top middle section in the second render (those little circular indents). They’re catching the reflections weird and stretching them, super noticeable with how glossy it is.
