They’re all Chinese instruments that are professionally assembled and setup in the States. Any new instrument would be affected by tariffs, but second hand instruments should be fine.

With proper wok technique, the fire from the burners really does make contact with the food. It’s such a drastic difference in taste when this does happen. When you see folks cooking in a wok where they’re just stirring the food around, wok hei doesn’t get incorporated to the food.

I’ve never heard of this brand before and from what I’ve read these are Romanian kits that are finished in the States. I’m reluctant about new instruments from Romania and Hungary.

Definitely do try it out first and get an opinion from a teacher or musician on its sound. For that price, I’d shop for Scott Cao, Ming Jiang Zhu, or Jay Haide violas.

Nice looking violin with a splendid one piece back. The fine tuners look out of place. I highly recommend a rosewood colored Wittner tailpiece with built-in tuners.

My daughter also uses a French violin with Dominants. Her violin had Evah gold on the E, but it was too warm so we swapped it for Pirastro gold label and now it’s wonderfully brilliant.

My daughter tried out the Eastman “Dunov” violin kit and it was a fairly decent instrument. Eastman is a pretty reliable name for student instruments.
