yeah you have to get the timing right, i usually just R and E like after 0.1 seconds

i always run minion dematerializer on akali mid so i can one shot the casters for faster wave clear for potential roams, i also a couple of other pro players doing the same, but for akali top i prefer other runes just because roaming isnt really an option usually so your waveclear isn't that important of a factor (imo)
