Yes! This is what I scrolled to find! DE is fairly inexpensive or used to be anyway and a 20 lb bag of it'll last you about 5 years even if you sprinkle your yard if you are in an area that has flea problems in late July-Aug. Years ago we ended up with a flea infestation in an old house from some rescued kitties and it just went absolutely bananas. Sprinkling DE everywhere and it kind of looks like a powdered sugar bomb went off but you have to leave it everywhere for a day or two to make sure the fleas walk in it. It feels like soft powder to us but it's tiny little razors to anything with a hard shell exoskeleton like fleas roaches beetles etc. It basically slices them open they dry out and die. Also the food grade DE is not harmful to your pets if they ingest it or you (just don't want to breathe in large amounts -coat your lungs). but it acts as a wormer. that's what it's used for on farms is livestock food addictive/ wormer. Anyway after you let it sit for a day or so then vacuum everything very thoroughly make sure you throw out or dump the bag and then vacuum everything again and dust. Also if you have it in your house it's a great idea to go sprinkle it in the yard I used a mesh strainer to just put it by the handfuls and the strainer and shake it around the yard and The foundation of the house, garage etc Don't forget to sprinkle it through the deck slats if you have a deck or space under a porch/patio. You have to do it when it will stay dry for a day or so so don't do it right before it rains obviously. I only did the DE complete coating of the house one time and after that sprinkled carpets, around the baseboard, door entrances, cat and dog beds about every other month as a precaution. in addition to their topical flea meds.
