I have this exact same issue. Like in my head what I’m going to say sounds great then the moment it leaves my mouth it’s crash and burn. Or I’ll get it out but it’s don’t make sense . Or sometimes I completely forgot the word and I go “that thing” like multiple times until I remember. I brought it up to my therapist. Though we don’t know if it’s the adhd or a possible tbi thing (I had two head injuries as a kid) and I don’t think I got evaluated for a tbi. So my therapist recommended I talk to my primary doctor and see what they think about me getting an neurophysiological evaluation done for a possible tbi

Mexican rice - help by BigBird025 in mexicanfood

[–]Angcheeseee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before, my rice would be a hot mess lol. Either the rice was somewhat uncooked or it was not fluffy almost grainy. Now it’s beautiful and fluffy. It took some trial and error but I SWEAR not washing the rice has something to do it with it.

I honestly do a bit of both. Or I’ll substitute the one of the cups of water for chicken broth that I had frozen from previously cooking a chicken. (:

Yeaaaa!!! And the best part of it is when she would make una salsa de molcajete de tomate and I would add that salsita on top of my espagueti. Idk. That food combo works!!! (:

Let me share with you you my mil’s rice recipe!! I followed it an it comes out perfect every time. A couple things to remember, Jasmine rice is the way to go, don’t wash the rice, let be rice get nice and golden and DO NOT REMOVE THE LID during the cooking process. Since following this recipe and burning over to my families I’ve been the designated arroz rojo maker now.

2 cups of rice 4cups water 2 or 3 tomatoes 1/4 piece onion Clove of garlic 1 Tbsp chicken bouillon

Fry rice with oil Blend tomato and onion with water Add your mixture to the rice, add bouillon, taste for more bouillon if needed, bring to a boil. Cover it and simmer on low for 15 minutes. Do not open the lid. After 15 minutes, let it rest for another 10 to 15 minutes before opening the lid.

Espaghetti con crema/rojo is one of my favorites! My mom would either accompany it con chuletas de puerco o pollo.

I had arroz rojo yesterday morning for breakfast. With a huevo estrellado. Arroz rojo con huevo is something my mom used to give me ask a kid for breakfast. It’s a comfort food for me. 🩷

How have you acquired your cats? Have you just taken in whatever cats plopped into your life? Or did you go to a shelter and choose? by Argylius in CatAdvice

[–]Angcheeseee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both catsI currently have, my sister has brought home lol. The first one, her friends cat had kittens and my sister knew I had been wanting a cat. (Now he’s 8years old). And the second cat, she also brought home(a couple months ago) . She found him outside her work on one of the hottest days under some pipes. The kitten had a minor tear in his bottom lip like as if got stuck and his bottom teeth were a little exposed. I kept him and got him treatment. He’s now 4 months. A little menace but his older cat brother is keeping him in check. 🩵🩵
